It's likely going to be a long time before Young Sheldon season 7 finally comes to Netflix

Fans hoping to watch the final season of Young Sheldon on Netflix have a long wait ahead as we're not expecting season 7 to drop on Netflix anytime soon.

Young Sheldon's final season might officially be underway on CBS, but the wait for season 7's arrival on Netflix is unfortunately going to be a long one.

While fans are able to binge the first six seasons of Young Sheldon on Netflix globally at the moment, the final season is currently airing on CBS and will not be coming to Netflix until long after the series finale airs on CBS.

Disappointing as this might be, it's not surprising in any way as new seasons of Young Sheldon have arrived on Netflix months after the season ended which is likely the result of the complicated distribution deals for the show as Netflix is not the only place where Young Sheldon can be streamed.

Young Sheldon season 7 won't likely come to Netflix until 2025

Young Sheldon season 7 will likely arrive on Netflix in early 2025, possibly as early as February 2025. This might not be ideal for fans looking forward to streaming the final season on Netflix, but this would follow a similar release strategy for broadcast shows that stream on Netflix.

Most broadcast shows will arrive on Netflix within six months to a year after their most recent season comes to a close. In the case of Young Sheldon, Netflix added the first five seasons of the show on November 24, 2023, in a move that was likely designed to help build anticipation for the show's final season. The show's most recent season, season 6, then dropped on Netflix a few months later on Feb. 1, 2024.

With season 6 of Young Sheldon arriving nearly nine months after the season ended on May 18, 2023, we're expecting that we could have to wait nine months after season 7 ends for the final season to be released on Netflix. Given season 7 is expected to wrap on May 16, 2024, this means we'll likely see the final season of Young Sheldon arrive on Netflix in the US sometime in February 2025.

Young Sheldon season 7 might not be on Netflix, but here's where you can stream it!

While Young Sheldon season 7 is not streaming on Netflix and is not expected to arrive on Netflix until 2025, the hit comedy is available to stream on Paramount+!

Paramount+ is the exclusive home to the show's current season with season 7 episodes arriving on Paramount+ every Friday, following their CBS broadcast. Fans can also catch up on season 7 episodes as all season 7 episodes will be available to stream on Paramount+, meaning if you fall behind on the season you can catch up using your Paramount+ account.

If you happen to have Paramount+ Live, you'll be able to stream new episodes of Young Sheldon season 7 as their air live on CBS or later in the evening following their CBS broadcast instead of having to wait until the next day to enjoy the episode. Of course, you can also watch the episodes live via other streaming platforms which offer live viewing including fuboTV and Hulu+ Live TV.
