Netflix has finally released the raunchy teen comedy Incoming, and this film will easily remind you of classic teen comedies like Fast Times at Ridgemont High and the American Pie movies. We had the opportunity to watch the film in advance before its release, and after watching it, we have to say it's a pretty solid movie.

It's a comedy written and helmed by The Mick creators Dave and John Chernin, the sons of well-known film producer and businessman Peter Chernin. This film marks their feature debut. It stars Mason Thames (Benj), Raphael Alejandro (Connor), Bardia Seiri (Koosh), and Ramon Reed (Eddie) as four friends starting their freshman year of high school. It's their first week at Waymont High School, and while the teen boys are ready to see what the school year may bring, they're really looking forward to experiencing their first-ever high school party.

Out of the group, Benj is most looking forward to the party because he intends on making his move on his long-time crush, Bailey. But of course, nothing ever goes smoothly at high school parties, and Benj quickly realizes this once he arrives.

But what ends up happening between Benj and Bailey? What about Connor, Koosh, and Eddie? Here's a breakdown of what happens at the end of Incoming.

Spoilers from Incoming ahead!

Benj and Bailey do not end up together in Incoming

Just when you thought Benj would finally get the girl of his dreams, he doesn't. After sharing his first kiss with Bailey at the party, Benj is instantly on cloud nine. He and Bailey are having a good time at the party until Benj gets mixed in with the wrong crowd. Some seniors peer pressure him into snorting ketamine off a girl's stomach. Bailey sees him doing this and is taken aback since Benj is not that type of person. She then leaves the party, and Benj is left feeling bad since he has messed things up with her.

Lost and clueless on how to win Bailey back, Benj asks his older sister for advice, who simply tells him that he just needs to be himself and not pretend to be someone he's not. Benj takes her advice, and attempts to make a grand gesture to get back in Bailey's good graces, but his efforts prove futile. It all happens at the welcome back ceremony for the students of Waymont High.

During the ceremony in the school's gym, Benj asks the principal if he could say something to all of his peers. He walks up to the front of the gym and takes the mic. He then confesses his feelings to Bailey before serenading her with a song. Once he wraps up the song, he kneels before Bailey to ask her to be his girlfriend. Everyone in the gym anticipates Bailey's answer. After a couple of seconds, Bailey finally gives him an answer, but it's not the answer he wanted to hear. She tells him no before standing up and leaving the gym.

All of the students in the gym begin screaming and laughing at the rejection while also exiting the gym. Connor, Koosh, and Eddie walk up to Benj and try to console him, but all Benj can do is stare at Bailey as she exits the gym. Just as Bailey is about to turn the corner, she looks back at Benj, winks, and then smiles at him. This lets Benj know that Bailey did actually enjoy his grand gesture but is just playing hard to get. When asked by his friends if he's okay, Benj responds by saying that he's good and that there's a lot of year left. In other words, he's not done chasing after Bailey.

Here are some other things that happened at the end of Incoming:

  • In a post-credits scene, Mr. Studebaker is asked to go to the principal's office. The principal shows him a clip of him at the high school party, drinking and blowing fire. Due to this inappropriate behavior, she fires him.
  • Since Connor and Eddie helped care for Katrina during the night of the party, she invites them to sit with her and her friends at the welcome back ceremony as a thank you.
  • Eddie finally stands up to his mom's boyfriend.
  • Koosh comes to the realization that his brother is not a good guy and that he shouldn't look up to him. He tells his friends to start calling him by his real name instead of Koosh.
