Another movie in the After film series was recently added to Netflix, and people all over are watching it. It's titled After Everything, and it's been billed as the last installment of the popular movie series.

However, a prequel telling Hardin's origin story and a sequel following Hardin and Tessa’s kids and their cousin were previously announced to be in the works. Castille Landon, who directed the last three After movies, was confirmed to return to write the scripts as well as direct.

But unfortunately, there haven't been any updates on the highly anticipated prequel and sequel since they were first announced back in April 2021. We're hoping that they haven't been quietly shelved, but that looks to be the case at the moment.

While we wait for new updates on these movies, maybe we should go back and re-watch all the After films. Luckily, we don't have to worry about jumping to different streaming platforms to watch them because Netflix carries all five movies. Below, you'll find the correct order in which these romantic drama films should be watched.

1. After

After (2019) is the beginning of Hardin and Tessa's love story. It's based on Anna Todd's book of the same name and follows studious college freshman Tessa Young, who after crossing paths with the mysterious bad boy, Hardin Scott, begins to question everything she knew about herself. Sparks start to fly and they soon find themselves in a passionate yet rocky relationship.

Here's what some audience members had to say about the romantic drama film via Rotten Tomatoes:

"I absolutely love the story line. It keeps you wanting more. Plus I feel alot of people can relate to this situation."

Sonya Z

"This movie is a guilty pleasure watch for me - it's not great but the leads have good chemistry, the cinematography is pretty and it's easy to watch. The best movie in the after franchise for sure."

2. After We Collided

After We Collided (2020) is based on the novel of the same name in Todd's After book series and is the sequel to After. In this film, we see Tessa trying to decide whether to move on from Hardin or to give their relationship another go. As much as she knows Hardin is bad for her, Tessa just can't seem to walk away. Meanwhile, Hardin refuses to give up on his and Tessa's relationship.

Unlike After which received a 65% audience score, After We Collided received a much better audience score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. We shared what some critics said about the sequel below.

"Director Roger Kumble brings this second installment of Anna Todd's series to life in a way fans of the books have been dreaming about for years."

Lauren Veneziani from WBAL-TV Baltimore

"After We Collided is riddled with cliches and tired young adult tropes, but its dramatic romance and laughable dialogue offers some escapist fun."

Molly Freeman from Screen Rant

3. After We Fell

Next up is the sequel to After We Collided, which is After We Fell (2021). Love is tested, loyalty is questioned, and life will never be the same for Tessa and Hardin in this third installment of the After film series. In the film, new revelations about Tessa's family as well as Hardin's come to light. Do Tessa and Hardin really have a future together when secrets are still being kept?

Critics and viewers alike didn't seem to enjoy After We Fell, receiving an 8% Tomatometer score and a 37% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

4. After Ever Happy

Serving as a sequel to After We Fell, After Every Happy (2022) sees Tessa and Hardin's relationship tested more than ever. As Hardin continues to go down a destructive path, Tessa suffers a family tragedy. Does their love have a chance to survive?

Many audience members enjoyed watching After Ever Happy, with it receiving a 92% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. But some critics thought differently.

5. After Everything

After Everything is the fifth and final movie in the After film series. Struggling from his breakup with Tessa and suffering from writer's block, Hardin eventually realizes that in order to win Tessa back and get out of his funk, he'll need to make amends with his past and better himself. Will Tessa and Hardin get their happily ever after?

Here's what a critic said about After Everything via Rotten Tomatoes:

"After Everything has less sex, more dialogue, prettier scenery, and the addition of an extremely appealing new character."

Jennifer Green from Common Sense Media
