One of the top shows on Netflix at the moment is Harlan Coben's Fool Me Once. Everyone's watching and talking about it, but the main topic of discussion is on whether there will be a Fool Me Once season 2.

Unfortunately, the chances of there being a second season are slim to none. This is sad news for fans, but the good news is that this won't be Coben's last series on Netflix. The gifted author has extended his overall deal with Netflix and will be helping develop more of his work into English-language and foreign-language series as well as movies.

Two of Coben's upcoming projects for Netflix include show adaptations of his Myron Bolitar book series and the mystery-thriller novel Win. So, you have these to look forward to and so much more!

But why is Fool Me Once not likely to come back for a second installment? No worries. We answered this burning question right below.

Fool Me Once is billed as a limited series

Like all of Coben's other shows on Netflix, Fool Me Once is a limited series. What does this mean? Well, it means it's a one-and-done type of show. A complete story is told in the first season, meaning there's no need for a second installment.

In fact, none of Coben's limited series on Netflix have second seasons. This pretty much lets us know that this will happen with Fool Me Once as well. We're not going to spoil what happens at the end of the first season, but just know that all the loose ends are tied up by the end. There's no story left to be told, so a second season wouldn't be necessary.

Now, we have seen some Netflix shows that were initially labeled as limited series be renewed for additional installments such as Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story and The Watcher. However, we don't see this happening for Fool Me Once since Coben's previous limited series on Netflix only consist of one season.

Although a second season hasn't been officially canceled out, we still think it's best to look forward to Coben's upcoming Netflix shows and movies instead.
