Today is the big day! City Hunter, the highly anticipated Japanese live-action movie adaptation of the bestselling manga of the same name by Tsukasa Hojo is now streaming on Netflix. If you’re looking forward to watching this new movie soon, we absolutely must share with you who you can expect to see in it.

City Hunter is described as an intense yet funny action-packed movie. It was directed by Yuichi Satoh from a screenplay penned by Tatsuro Mishima. It follows Ryo Saeba, a skilled marksman and charming ladies' man, as he navigates the dark and gritty underworld of modern-day Shinjuku, Tokyo, to rid it of crime. When his late partner Hideyuki Makimura is killed on an investigation, Ryo is confronted by his partner's sister who demands to know the truth behind his death. This leads the two to reluctantly join forces to investigate Hideyuki's death, but they soon find themselves in grave danger.

Well-known Japanese actor Ryohei Suzuki stars in the leading role of Ryo Saeba, a private eye and hopeless playboy who works to uncover the truth behind his partner's tragic death. Some of Suzuki's other acting work include roles in the TV shows For You in Full Blossom: Ikemen Paradise, Mei chan no shitsuji, Yankee-kun to Megane-chan, The Full Throttle Girl, Hanako & Anne, Segodon, Elpis: Kibou, Aruiwa Wazawai and Get Ready!.

Masanobu Ando plays the role of Hideyuki Makimura, a former police detective who worked with Ryo up until his murder. He's also Kaori Makimura’s older brother. Additionally, he played the role of Sadafumi Heguri in the fantasy film Onmyoji Zero. He's currently starring in the thriller series Destiny, which is streaming on Netflix.

Japanese actress Fumino Kimura plays Saeko Nogami in the action film. Saeko is a detective from the Metropolitan Police Department who has a long history with Ryo.
