Evil has arrived on Netflix! Well, not "evil" in the traditional sense of the word, but Evil, as in the supernatural horror series. The first two seasons of the fan-favorite thriller returned to the streaming service and have immediately earned renewed popularity, hitting the daily top 10. It's all happening ahead of the upcoming release of the show's fourth and final season.

Unfortunately, Evil season 4 marks the show's final run and makes its premiere on May 23 on Paramount+, beginning with 10 episodes that lead into four additional episodes that tie up the show's loose ends. Some are looking at those four episodes as a mini season 5, though they will technically air as part of the fourth and final season.

In spite of initial reporting that season 3 would also be available on Netflix, the season remains exclusive to Paramount+ as of this writing. The former CBS series moved to Paramount+ for its second season and has been an exclusive original streaming series ever since. Still, we're hopeful that due to its Netflix success, season 3 and season 4 will eventually come to Netflix.

Watch Evil season 3 and 4 on Paramount+

As mentioned above, the third and fourth seasons of Evil are currently only available to watch on Paramount+ as of May 6, 2024. While one could assume that these seasons will eventually find their way onto Netflix in the near to distant future later this year, neither Paramount nor Netflix have confirmed the imminent arrival of either season.

Fingers crossed season 3 drops ahead of the series finale, and season 4 hits Netflix by the fall. But that's merely wishful thinking and a prediction at best. At any rate, we will we keep you updated.

If you have already watched all 26 of the available episodes on Netflix, you will be hungry to check out the 10-episode third season and 14-episode fourth season. For day-one fans of the show, and even those who just started watching on Netflix, season 4 isn't to be missed. The cast and crew are still hard at work on the last four episodes, but we already know what to expect from season 4, and it's a doozy for Kristen (Katja Herbers), David (Mike Colter), and Ben (Aasif Mandvi).

Here's the season 4 synopsis via Paramount:

"Kristen, David and Ben continue to assess cases that involve wayward technology, possessed pigs, demonic oppression and infestation, a dance muse conjured by alleged witches and an evil relic. Throughout, Leland attempts to lure Kristen into raising a baby antichrist who was conceived with her ovum. David is recruited by the Vatican’s secret service to “remote view” a paranormal ability to see the unseen in order to detect evil. Ben is hit by an ion beam, causing him to see visions of a taunting jinn until he discovers an unusual solution to banish it. Finally, all three realize they only have a few weeks left to assess cases because the parish has decided to disband the team due to a lack of funds. This culminates in one last confrontation with Leland and the 60 families that make up Evil in the modern world."

But in order to see the end of the beginning and how it all ends before it potentially arrives on Netflix, you will have to be subscribed to Paramount+ to watch weekly. Here's how to sign-up for a new account on Paramount+:
