What is Madame Web about?

The movie focuses on Cassie Webb, who is a clairvoyant. Her visions allow her to see into the "spider-verse." Cassie and three other women, Julia, Mattie, and Anya, are being hunted down by a man named Ezekiel Sims. In the comic books, he is often featured as a supporting character alongside Spider-Man and he is affiliated with The Spider-Society.

Per the film's descriptions, it looks like he'll be the movie's main villain as he looks for the women who could potentially become Spider-Woman at some point in the future. The film is being directed by S.J. Clarkson with a script by Clarkson, Claire Parker, Burk Sharpless, and Matt Sazama.

Madame Web will be released in theaters on February 14, 2024 and will likely arrive on Netflix sometime this summer.
