We're getting so close to the release of Emily in Paris season 4, which kicks off on Aug. 15 with the five-episode first part. The rest of the episodes arrive one month later on Sept. 12, likely bringing the highly anticipated season to yet another dramatic cliffhanger ending. What kind of personal and professional twists and turns will Emily be dealing with in season 4?

According to the season 4 synopsis via Netflix, Emily's still down bad for both Gabriel and Alfie, even after major display of drama that erupted at Gabriel and Camille's thwarted wedding. Alfie doesn't trust her and Gabriel's expecting a baby with Camille, leaving our girl in a real crossroads. Emily seems to grow even closer to Gabriel as they work for his star, but "two secrets" are coming to shake them up.

Clearly, we're in for quite a wild ride in Emily in Paris season 4. It's probably for the best that Netflix opted to split the season in half and give us some time to process the fireworks of part 1. Ahead of the release in August, the streamer dropped a handful of new photos from the season and gave teases at the new faces — some romantic, some not — who will be popping up!

Eugenio Franceschini as Marcello

When the production moved to Italy for Emily's Roman holiday, Lily Collins was spotted on set filming a seemingly romantic date scene without either Lucas Bravo or Lucien Laviscount. Collins was filming with Eugenio Franceschini, who has now been confirmed to play Marcello. Netflix's description of Marcello says he's "direct, confident, and values simplicity," which aligns with his family's company. Clearly, Emily will be working with the handsome newcomer in some capacity in Rome and sparks might even fly between the two.

Rupert Everett as Giorgio Barbieri

My Best Friend's Wedding star Rupert Everett makes a rom-com comeback in Emily in Paris season 4 as Giorgio Barbieri, a world renown interior designer who owns a globally successful firm. Giorgio is another character Emily will be working with in Rome, but since he has been close friends with Sylvie for a long time, he's sure to give her a bit of grief. On the other hand, maybe Giorgio will become tight with Emily and love her ideas, creating a bit of jealousy for Sylvie. Can't wait for this storyline!

Thalia Besson as Genevieve

It's déjà vu! Once upon a time, Emily Cooper was an American girl from Chicago moving to Paris for the job opportunity of a lifetime. Now, Laurent's 20-something daughter Genevieve will be making the same move. She arrives from New York to kick off her career and finds kinship with Emily over their parallel career journeys. However, per Netflix's description, Genevieve might just be a tough one for Emily to wrangle. As if Emily's life wasn't complicated enough, now she's mentoring a version of her that's even more fearlessly driven.

Anna Galiena as Antonia Muratori

Emily, meet the family! Marcello's mother, Antonia Muratori, leads the family business and takes on a maternal spirit over the community in their village in Italy. Netflix's description suggests that she likes to care for others and holds a special value in making sure the family business doesn't lose sight of its integrity and purpose. It will be interesting to see if Antonia interacts with Emily and what those scenes will be like. Maybe she tangles with Sylvie? Only time will tell!

Raoul Bova as Giancarlo

There's not as much information about the final new Emily in Paris season 4 character. All Netflix's press release reveals about Giancarlo is that he's charming and has found success directing commercials in Rome. Oh, and he used to be Sylvie's film professor. Who knew Sylvie had an interest in film? Maybe we did, but if this is something the show explores even more in season 4, that would be an excellent arc for Sylvie. Perhaps they will collaborate on a new commercial together.
