Don't have Netflix? Here's how to watch Suits on TV for free
By Mads Lennon
Good news for people who don't want to pay for Netflix to watch Suits, the hit series from creator Aaron Korsh is set to make its first off-network run on the primetime programming service MyNetwork TV, reports Variety.
The series has been a massive success for Netflix, with Nielsen even noting that the show had beat a record previously held by The Office for overall minutes watched in a single year, racking up more than 57.7 billion total minutes watched in 2023. Previously, The Office had racked up 57.1 billion minutes in 2020.
Suits has been so popular on Netflix, the success has even encouraged Korsh to head back to the drawing board for a spinoff series that will be named Suits: L.A. and star Stephen Amell, Lex Scott Davis, and Josh McDermitt.
So, what does the broadcasting news mean, exactly? Just that you'll be able to turn on your television and watch Suits reruns at your leisure. The series is set to make its debut on MyNetwork TV sometimes this fall, an exact date hasn't been announced yet.
You can watch episodes of Criminal Minds or Law & Order: SVU at just about any hour of the day given how many different networks it's playing, it will be a similar situation with Suits, except only on MyNetwork TV, at least for now. So if you haven't watched the show yet or you just love it a lot and like having it on all the time, this will be a nice way for fans to keep it running in the background.
Frank Cicha, executive VP of programming for Fox Television Stations said in his statement that it's been "increasingly more difficult" to find successful "obscure product on broadcast TV."
He went on to say that "Suits is arguably the most buzzworthy scripted series of the last half decade, and MyNet looks forward to amplifying its success by introducing it to the broadcast television audience. And we’re discussing some fun ways to do just that.”
What does this mean for Suits being on Netflix?
As of right now, there isn't any change expected with Suits status on Netflix. The platform will continue to stream all 134 episodes and you can also watch it on Prime Video and Peacock. The fact that Suits is available in so many places means that its streaming rights are currently non-exclusive, so it can be watched in several different spots.
Additionally, Suits is available to purchase digitally and on physical media, with the complete series being released on DVD.
