A new Netflix Original is almost here! Dead Boy Detectives has become one of the most anticipated series coming to the streaming service this year, especially because it'll be a nice treat for fans of Neil Gaiman's The Sandman since the two shows are set in the same universe. While we wait for the new episodes of The Sandman, fans will enjoy this new DC Comics series centered on two ghosts and a medium who solve supernatural cases.

If you enjoy shows like Supernatural, Riverdale, and Nancy Drew then you'll definitely want to tune into the series, which is based on the comic book published by DC's Vertigo imprint. It was created by Gaiman alongside artists Malcolm Jones III and Matt Wagner. Fans of Doom Patrol have already met Charles Rowland and Edwin Paine, but they were recast for the Netflix show.

It's hard to say what the future holds for this series, especially when Lockwood & Co., a show with a similar premise, was canceled after just one season. Hopefully, Dead Boy Detectives will have a better chance at renewal due to its connection to another popular Netflix show in The Sandman, which will return for a second season.
