There's no denying that competition reality shows are taking over. On May 30, Netflix unveiled its slate of new and returning reality shows, and two of those new shows were Building the Band and Battle Camp. Both of which are competition reality series. Since these shows were just recently announced, not much information is known about them at the moment. However, we still shared everything there is to know about them so far right below.

Building the Band is all about finding the next big music group, but it isn't your typical competition series. It's similar to the hit reality series Love is Blind in that the bandmates don't get to see each other initially. The show brings together 50 gifted singers as they try to form their very own bands solely based on musical compatibility, connection, chemistry, and merit. The participants are in complete control throughout the entire competition, but they'll quickly realize after entering the competition that it won't be easy trying to form the perfect band.

The bands will eventually meet face-to-face, but will things change for each band after looks, choreography, and style come into play? Viewers can expect plenty of drama and incredible performances throughout the season. Remarkable Entertainment and Banijay UK are the production companies behind the series with Cat Lawson, Alison Holloway, Katrina Morrison, and Clara Elliot signed on as executive producers. The hosts and cast members have not been announced yet. They will be revealed at a later date.

Then, there's Battle Camp, which will see some of the greatest stars from across the Netflix Reality Universe competing in intense challenges that test their physical and mental strength to determine who is the ultimate Netflix reality competitor. And of course, like most Netflix competition reality series, there's a hefty grand prize for the winner. The reality star that's crowned as the ultimate Netflix reality competitor takes home a $250,000 prize.

Here's the show's official synopsis via the Netflix press release:

"In Battle Camp, the greatest stars from across Netflix’s broad slate of reality and doc-series return to face the ultimate physical and mental competition, where a giant spinning wheel randomly decides who stays and who goes. In order to keep your name off that wheel, our returning fan favorites need to be unbeatable in high octane challenges, unbreakable in grueling punishments and, last but certainly not least, unhateable in camp, as everyone has a vote. The player who achieves all three, becomes the ultimate Netflix reality competitor and takes home the $250,000 prize."

Thames and a Fremantle label are the production companies behind the reality series. In addition, Louise Peet, Ashley Whitehouse, Hannah Ganio, and Rebecca McLaughlin serve as executive producers. Like Building the Band, the host and cast for Battle Camp will be revealed at a later time.

There you have it, folks! That's all we know so far about the Building the Band and Battle Camp reality shows. As we learn new information about these upcoming series, we'll be sure to come back and share everything we found. So, stay tuned to Netflix Life!
