Netflix Lifers, we have the best news to share. Cameras are officially rolling on the upcoming Bridgerton season 4! Netflix just announced this great news, along with announcing three new cast members who will be joining the ton next season.

After much speculation on when the cast and crew will start filming, that speculation ends today since we now have confirmation that production has begun. While filming is taking place in the United Kingdom like always, the cast and crew will also be shooting at a new filming location this season.

They will be filming some scenes on a newly constructed backlot at Shepperton Studios. Bridgerton Production Designer Alison Gartshore, along with Supervising Art Director Antony Cartlidge and Art Director Adam David Grant, worked together to create set pieces that resemble Georgian and Regency architecture. Bridgerton is known for its beautiful settings, so we imagine the new set is just as grand.

This season, the story shifts to the second oldest brother in the Bridgerton family, Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson). We follow his journey to find love, which leads him to the captivating Lady in Silver, Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha).

Joining Thompson and Ha in the cast are previously announced cast members Jonathan Bailey (Anthony Bridgerton), Victor Alli (Lord John Stirling), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), Julie Andrews (Lady Whistledown), Lorraine Ashbourne (Mrs. Varley), Masali Baduza (Michaela Stirling), Nicola Coughlan (Penelope Bridgerton), Hannah Dodd (Francesca Stirling), Daniel Francis (Lord Marcus Anderson), Ruth Gemmell (Violet Bridgerton), Florence Hunt (Hyacinth Bridgerton), Martins Imhangbe (Will Mondrich), Claudia Jessie (Eloise Bridgerton), Luke Newton (Colin Bridgerton), Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), Will Tilston (Gregory Bridgerton), and Polly Walker (Portia Featherington).

Emma Naomi and Hugh Sachs also return this season in their respective roles as Alice Mondrich and Brimsley, but they return as main cast members.

There are also three new cast members who will be playing Sophie's family members. They are Katie Leung, Michelle Mao, and Isabella Wei.

Katie Leung (The Peripheral) portrays the role of Lady Araminta Gun, Sophie's stepmother. She was married twice, and both marriages left her a widow. She has two biological daughters, Rosamund and Posy Li, and she's determined to get at least one of them married off.

Michelle Mao (A Big Bold Beautiful Journey) plays the role of Rosamund Li, Araminta's oldest daughter, who is always eager to please her mother. After Benedict captures her interest, she becomes determined to catch his.

Isabella Wei (1899) portrays Posy Li, Araminta's youngest daughter, who, like her older sister, will be debuting this year. However, she's much friendlier than Rosamund and very chatty, which is why their strict mother doesn't focus much on her.

Bridgerton season 4 will consist of eight episodes like previous seasons, with Jess Brownell returning as showrunner and executive producer. Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Tom Verica, and Chris Van Dusen also come back as executive producers on the fourth season.
