Parents might want to avoid watching Bridgerton season 3 with their kids as there are some steamy scenes as well as some nudity within the first part of the season.

It’s been over two years since Bridgerton season 2 dropped in March 2022, but the wait is officially over!  A new season of Bridgerton is finally streaming on Netflix – well at least part of it – and fans are eager to dive into the newest batch of episodes. And if you’ve made it to this particular post, you’re likely getting ready to watch the season but are wondering exactly how safe the new season is to watch with your kids – or maybe even whether the season is one you’d like to watch with your parents!

As you can expect, the new season of Bridgerton once again is TV-MA which means that the show contains materials that might not be suitable for children under 17. If you’ve watched the show in the past, you likely know the show’s TV-MA rating comes largely from the show’s sexual activity as the series is known for its steamy scenes. Seasons 1 and 2 both featured their fair share of intimate moments between the show’s key couples as well as the side characters within the show.

Season 3 keeps that streak going with some steamy moments that might have some fans blushing, especially if they choose to watch the show with their kids.

There is nudity in Bridgerton season 3

Let’s just address the elephant in the room right away, yes, there is nudity in the third season of Bridgerton and it comes via scenes that surprisingly aren’t connected to any of the central couples. Instead, they come via scenes in the second and fourth episodes of the season and involve Colin – just not with the person you might be expecting.

In both the second and fourth episodes of the season of Bridgerton, there is topless female nudity which stems from scenes that see Colin engaging in some threesomes with two unnamed female characters.

The nudity in episode 2 comes around the 9-minute mark, while the nudity in episode 4 arrives around the 14-minute mark. These two moments are rather brief and skipping ahead through the scenes will not take away from the episodes or the season, so if you’re watching with your kids you can prepare to skip ahead when the scenes come up in the two respective episodes and know that you won’t lose any kind of context from the overall storylines in the season.

Aside from those two particular scenes, there is no nudity within any other episodes or scenes this season but there are some sex scenes that might be uncomfortable to watch with your kids or parents.

Bridgerton season 3 sex scenes aren’t as steamy as past seasons

Across the third season, there are many sex scenes, but compared to past seasons the moments in the first four episodes of the season don’t push the envelope too far – though they are still recommended for mature audiences. As previously mentioned, there are two scenes with nudity via brief sequences that see Colin engaging in sexual dalliances with sex workers. There are also some steamy sex scenes with core couples from the season.

In the first episode of the season around the 26-minute mark, Kate and Anthony are in bed and are taking their responsibilities of producing a Bridgerton heir seriously. The couple, still enjoying their honeymoon bliss, roll around in the sheets. There is no nudity in the scene, but there is some heavy panting and Anthony pleasures Kate under the sheets.

The second episode features our first official Polin kiss of the season. The pair share a passionate kiss, but there is no nudity and the pair don’t take things too far with the kiss being rather mild by Bridgerton standards. Directly after, at the top of episode 3, Colin has a steamy dream about Penelope but again the pair only engage in a passionate kiss and nothing further.

Finally, we have the finale! Around the 44-minute mark of the episode, Benedict and Lady Tilley Arnold are seen in bed having sex but there is no nudity and the scene is rather brief.

The steamiest scene of the season comes at the end of the episode when Penelope and Colin finally embrace each other and give in to their feelings. The pair engage in what is honestly one of the show’s most passionate kisses and it quickly evolves into something more as it’s insinuated that Colin uses his hand to pleasure Pen – like I said, things escalated quickly. There is no nudity in the scene, but the carriage scene is by far the steamiest moment of the first part of the season!
