4 best Netflix shows to watch (and 2 to skip) in February 2024
By Reed Gaudens
The second month of 2024 has arrived, and it's another month full of new release Netflix shows set to burn up the top 10. In February, one of the potentially biggest new Netflix makes its debut, while the streamer's signature dating reality show returns for another season.
Of course, we're talking about the live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender, which has been highly anticipated from the moment it was announced. As for the dating reality show making a comeback this month, Love is Blind kicks off its sixth season just in time for Valentine's Day.
But not all of the new Netflix shows premiering in February 2024 are worth watching. Unfortunately, some will be skips for certain viewers either because of their content or they're just not interested. We're sharing the four must-watch titles of the month and the two to keep on the bench, beginning below with One Day.
One Day
Watch! Just ahead of the Valentine's Day holiday, Netflix drops its 14-episode limited series One Day, which is the second on-screen adaptation of the book of the same name by David Nicholls. Ambika Mod and Leo Woodall star as Emma and Dexter in the romantic drama series that's sure to have everyone in their feelings when it drops on Feb. 8. Seriously, get the tissues ready! The must-watch series will make you cry as much as it will make you swoon.
Love is Blind season 6
Watch! If you're not already a fan of Love is Blind, then you likely won't be tuning into the sixth season when it begins airing on Valentine's Day. But if you're a tried and true fan, there's chance you're missing even a millisecond of all the drama to come in season 6. Nick and Vanessa Lachey are back to host all of the shenanigans that will unfold as a new group of singles attempt to find love. While the season begins on Feb. 14, it will culminate with the finale on March 6.
A Killer Paradox
Skip! There's no doubt that K-Dramas are super popular on Netflix and have been some of the most innovative content on the platform in recent years. That being said, February's premiere of A Killer Paradox will likely be a huge draw for many viewers, but the one reason we have listed as a "skip" has more to do with its proximity to Valentine's Day. The series centers on a serial killer and detective determined to stop him. Not very romantic for a Feb. 9 binge-watch, huh?
The Vince Staples Show
Watch! Looking for something a little different in February? The five-episode limited series dramedy from rapper-singer Vince Staples will be just the ticket. In The Vince Staples Show, the titular star plays himself as the sort-of rapper, sort-of criminal (that's per the synopsis from Netflix) goes on daily adventures where something typically goes wrong. Don't miss the series on Feb. 15!
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Watch! The show on the radar of fantasy fans around the world will finally touch down on Netflix on Feb. 22. Avatar: The Last Airbender is the live-action adaptation of the classic animated series, and all those fans have been waiting for this moment since its announcement in 2018. If you're one of the many counting down the days, then you know what it's about and why you should be watching. Everyone else will probably be tuning in anyway when it ranks first on the top 10.
Formula 1: Drive to Survive season 6
Skip! Unless you're a fan of racing, you're not likely to randomly decide to start watching Formula 1: Drive to Survive, especially not when the sixth season premieres on Feb. 24. Obviously, those who enjoy the docuseries will be watching season 6, but if you're not a fan of racing and want to watch a sports docuseries, Netflix is home to plenty of those, like Full Swing, Quarterback, Break Point, and more.
What will you be watching or skipping on Netflix in February 2024?
