Bodies

Based on the DC Vertigo graphic novel series by Si Spencer, Bodies is a late addition to the Netflix Originals line-up of 2023 and it ended up being a surprise hit. The sci-fi series takes place across multiple timelines, all in the same location. In 2023, a detective finds a body on Longharvest Lane in Whitechapel, London.

Three other detectives, in 1890, 1941, and 2053, also find the same body in the same location. How is that possible? How can one body be discovered in the same place spanning centuries? If you're a fan of time-travel shows then you should definitely check this one out. Even if you've seen a lot of different time-traveling series and feel a little burnt out by it, Bodies is smart and well-written enough that it sets itself apart from some of the other shows. It reminded me of Dark, though admittedly not as complex or deep as the German show.

Still, Bodies is fun and addictive. Once you get sucked in you won't want to stop until you see how it all ends. English actor Stephen Graham stars alongside Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Shira Haas, Amaka Okafor, Kyle Soller, Greta Scacchi, Tom Mothersdale, and Michael Jibson.
