Outer Banks is easily one of the best Netflix shows of 2023. The third season of the hit series premiered on Feb. 23, and it was a huge hit for Netflix. The streamer just shared the viewership metrics for its biggest shows and movies of the first half of 2023, and Outer Banks ranked No. 8 on the list of most popular Netflix shows from January to June just behind You season 4, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, and Wednesday.

Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Carlacia Grant, Austin North, Charles Esten, and Drew Starkey are all back for Outer Banks season 3. It picks up right after the events of the season 2 finale. After saving Sarah and getting help from Cleo aboard The Coastal Venture, John B. and the gang find themselves thriving on a deserted island. Quickly, the Pogues find themselves at the heart of another mystery: finding El Dorado, the City of Gold, but there are other treasure hunters in the way, too.

Overall, season 3 might be the weakest of the three seasons so far, but it’s still great. And, it does an incredible job of wrapping up the story of the Royal Merchant and launching the Pogues on a new question in season 4, which is already in the works.
