Sex Education

Like many other people, I was patiently waiting for Sex Education season 4 to be released on Netflix. A new season would typically come out once a year, but we had to wait longer for the fourth season. All eight episodes of Sex Education season 4 were finally released in September 2023, and it didn't take long at all for me to finish them.

Unfortunately, the fourth season was announced to be the last so it was a bittersweet experience watching it. The show followed the lives of the teenagers at the fictional Moordale Secondary School. In its fourth season, the teens were forced to change schools after investors pulled all of their funding from Moordale. We saw Otis and the rest of the teenagers continue their education at the high-tech school, Cavendish Sixth Form College. Meanwhile, Maeve attended the prestigious Wallace University in the U.S.

Sadly, several of the cast members from the first three seasons were not in the fourth season such as Simone Ashley (Kate Sharma), Patricia Allison (Ola), and Tanya Reynolds (Lily). However, Asa Butterfield (Otis), Gillian Anderson (Jean), Ncuti Gatwa (Eric), Emma Mackey (Maeve), Connor Swindells (Adam), Kedar Williams-Stirling (Jackson), Mimi Keene (Ruby), and Aimee Lou Wood (Aimee) are some of the actors who returned.

Sex Education was one of the best teen series streaming on Netflix, so now that it's over, I'm curious what show will take its place. But what I do know is that this show will be dearly missed.
