The Witcher
Despite all the criticism and controversy surrounding Netflix's take on The Witcher, adapted from Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski's popular book series of the same name, I happen to be a huge fan of The Witcher adaptation.
Even though the series has received backlash from fans because it heavily diverted from the books in the second season, the third season is one of the most accurate to the novels thus far, with everything from the Thanedd coup to Ciri's time in the Korath Desert being included in the latest episodes. Plus, we get to see a lot more from iconic characters like Sigismund Dijkstra (Graham McTavish) and Philippa Eilhart (Cassie Clare).
Additionally, the core familial relationship between Ciri, Yennefer, and Geralt takes center-stage in The Witcher season 3, something fans have been eager to see since the show started and we finally get to see plenty of it in the new season.
The latest season culminates in the big showdown between Geralt and Vilgefortz and brings us to Brokilon Forest, putting a lot of the pieces into place for the forthcoming fourth season, which will feature a significant casting shake-up with Henry Cavill exiting the series and Liam Hemsworth stepping in to take over for the fourth season and rumored fifth (and final) one.
