Army of the Dead was one of the most highly anticipated Netflix new releases when it premiered in the spring of 2021. It didn't quite live up to the hype in terms of viewership, but it's quite a good zombie and heist movie all rolled into one.

Following a zombie apocalypse that effectively destroys Las Vegas, the city is left to the undead. A former casino owner asks Scott Ward, a mercenary, played by Dave Bautista, to venture into the city and retrieve $200 million from a safe in his casino before the military blows up the city with a nuclear bomb. It's a race against the clock and the zombies to find the safe, crack it, and make it out alive.

As mentioned, there is at least one more Army of the Dead movie in the works at Netflix. It's called Planet of the Dead, but we don't know a lot of information about it just yet. Netflix may even continue to build out this franchise with even more movies. We'll just have to wait and see how the next movie goes!
