Over the last few years, Netflix has released a lot of good heist movies and shows. While most of the hits have been heist TV shows with Money Heist, Lupin, Berlin, and more, Netflix has had its fair share of heist movies perform very well. Netflix's biggest movie of all time is a heist movie.

If you're looking for that next caper or adventure, we have a list of the best heist movies for you to watch on Netflix right now. Let's get the list of the best Netflix heist movies started with the most recent addition, Lift starring Kevin Hart.

Lift

  • Release Date: Jan. 12, 2024
  • Director: F. Gary Gray
  • Cast: Kevin Hart, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Vincent D'Onofrio, Úrsula Corberó, Billy Magnussen, Jacob Batalon, Jean Reno, Sam Worthington, and more

Lift premiered on Netflix in mid-January 2024, and it's pretty clearly the best and most popular new Netflix movie of the year so far. That'll probably change as we get into the year, but it's our top pick for those looking for a new heist movie to watch on Netflix.

F. Gary Gray, best known for directing Friday, The Italian Job, Straight Outta Compton, Men in Black: International, and so many more good movies, directed Lift, so you know it's good! The film has an incredible cast led by Kevin Hart and Gugu Mbatha-Raw, along with Netflix fan favorite, Vincent D'Onofrio, who starred as Kingpin in Marvel's Daredevil.

The film tells the story of a group who try steal hundreds of millions from a plane while it's in flight. A heist like this takes precision, flexibility, and courage.

Is Lift the best Netflix movie of all time? No, but it's not the worst! It's a high-stakes and high-octane thrill ride. If you're up for that, it's definitely worth your time!

Up next is my favorite of the movies on this list, Army of Thieves.
