Mark your calendars for Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024 because if you're a fan of the After movies, you have a mandatory date with Hardin Scott on that day. The final chapter of the romantic drama film saga, After Everything, will finally premiere on Netflix for streaming in January 2024.

The highly anticipated fifth movie in the franchise first arrived in theaters in September 2023 and then became available on video on demand platforms the following month. However, since the After movies have always called Netflix home after their initial releases, fans have been waiting for its release date on the streaming service.

Finally, the wait comes to an end right at the start of the new year, but the arrival of the fifth and final movie in the series isn't the only bit of good news for fans. Sometimes when movies from a franchise come to Netflix, other titles in that franchise are missing. But that's not the case for After Everything.

All of the After movies will be on Netflix in January 2024

Whether you're a day one fan of the After movies or you'll be a first-time watcher when After Everything drops on Jan. 11, you will be excited to learn that all five of the movies will be available to stream on Netflix. The first film left for a brief period of time, but it has since be re-added to the platform along with the other three sequels.

As of January 2024, when the fifth movie makes its Netflix premiere, all five of the movies will call Netflix home at the same time. Of course, that means it's the perfect opportunity for a movie marathon with the complete saga at the palm of your hands. That's a pretty rare occurrence for Netflix, so take advantage while all five are there together!

How to watch the After movies in order

Because the titles are so similar, those unfamiliar with the franchise might not know where to start watching and in which order to watch the movies next. While you could simply check out the release year on Netflix, we've compiled a helpful viewing order list below, along with the runtime of all five movies as an added bonus for your marathon planning.

  • After (2019) — 1 hour 45 minutes
  • After We Collided (2020) — 1 hour 45 minutes
  • After We Fell (2021) — 1 hour 38 minutes
  • After Ever Happy (2022) — 1 hour 35 minutes
  • After Everything (2023) — 1 hour 33 minutes

If you're looking to set aside a day to have a full back-to-back marathon of all five movies, you will have to make sure you have nearly nine uninterrupted hours for a viewing party. All running times combined, the five After movies span about eight and a half hours, though with bathroom, meal, and snack breaks, you're looking at close to nine or even 10 hours. But you can also obviously watch a couple a day over a weekend or one a day for five days. There are options!

Even though After Everything has been dubbed "the final chapter" in its marketing and Voltage Pictures has confirmed it's the last movie in the franchise, it's been teased that both prequel and spinoff movies are in the works. The prequel's said to focus on Hardin's first teen love and the prequel will tell the stories of Tess and Hardin's children. Back in April 2021, Deadline reported that the movies would film back-to-back later that year. Stay tuned for more news and updates on the future of the After franchise.

Don't miss After Everything on Netflix beginning Jan. 11.
