Bridgerton fans' prayers have been answered! One of the original leading stars of the Netflix romantic drama series will be returning to the streaming service, but not for the upcoming new season of Bridgerton. Ever since Regé-Jean Page left the series after season 1, fans have been hoping he'd return as The Duke. Well, we'll have to keep holding out hope for that particular comeback

But for the time being, we can get excited for Page's upcoming new Netflix show, which promises to be just as steamy and intriguing as Bridgerton. On Dec. 2, Netflix announced that Page will star in and executive produce the new erotic thriller series Hancock Park. The series is currently in development, which means it hasn't gotten the official green light just yet, but it seems pretty promising.

Based on the premise shared by Netflix in the press release, Page will channel his dapper Bridgerton character by playing a "different kind of royalty." Apparently, Hancock Park isn't a period drama, as Page will lead the cast as a member of a prominent high society family in Los Angeles that's struggling to maintain its status among the upper class. Intriguing, right?

According to the official synopsis shared by Netflix, Hancock Park centers on "a dangerously charismatic outsider, who invades the lives of a seemingly picture-perfect Los Angeles family — when he rents their backyard guest house. But as he dives further into their world, the façade of this elite community begins to crumble, and he exposes the desire, deceit, and obsession that lurks around every corner of one of LA’s most-coveted neighborhoods."

While Netflix's press release suggests that Page stars as a member of the affluent family at the center of Hancock Park, Deadline reports that Page will in fact play the "charismatic outsider" that infiltrates the family. Additional casting announcements haven't been made at the time of the show's announcement, though the streamer teased that more cast members will be revealed.

In addition to Page executive producing the developing series with his production partner Emily Brown for their company A Mighty Stranger, the series also comes from writer Matthew Barry, who previously worked on such hit series as HBO's Industry and Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Both of those shows have been known to get a bit steamy, so that gives us an idea of what to expect.

Since departing Bridgerton after only one season, Hancock Park marks Page's first major television commitment. The British actor focuses on building a film career that includes the likes of Netflix's The Gray Man, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Black Bag, and the upcoming romantic comedy You, Me & Tuscany co-starring Halle Bailey hitting theaters in April 2026.

Bridgerton fans can continue to hold out hope that Page could possibly make a cameo as The Duke in any of the show's three upcoming seasons, but at least we know we have a promising lead on him actually returning to Netflix. Check out Bridgerton season 4 on Netflix in January and February 2026, and stay tuned for more news and updates on Hancock Park.
