Believe it or not, we have already made it to the halfway point of 2026. Even though it feels like the year just started and we were still wiping our tears from the Stranger Things series finale, time has flown by so quickly. After all, that tends to happen when you're binge-watching all of the new Netflix shows that have been released since the year began.
While there have been a large number of Netflix shows that have exceeded expectations to become both critically acclaimed and viewership sensations, the number of original series from the streamer that have reached the 100 million views mark this year is an elite group. As Netflix revealed in its biannual What We Watched report for the first half of 2026, only two shows hit the milestone.
What are the two Netflix shows that attracted over 100 million views since January 2026? That would be the limited series His & Hers, which is the most-watched Netflix shows of the year so far with 104 million views, and Bridgerton season 4, which has officially pulled in 100 million views. That's an incredible achievement, especially since the most-watched show is a new one.

Among the top 10 most-watched Netflix shows of the year so far, there's a rather large gulf between Bridgerton season 4's 100 million views and the series in the No. 3 position. Harlan Coben's I Will Find You currently resides in third place with 64 million views, but the fan-favorite limited series will surely continue to climb and could be the one to put up a fight to enter the 100 million club.
I Will Find You already has the bragging rights of being the biggest new Netflix show of 2026 as the show's launch boasted the most sizable viewership debut for the streamer this year to date. Since it's been the No. 1 series worldwide for four weeks and very likely counting, Coben's latest series clearly has the staying power to even possibly enter the all-time top 10 Netflix shows.
Check out the full top 10 most-watched Netflix shows of the year so far:
- His & Hers — 104 million views
- Bridgerton season 4 — 100 million views
- I Will Find You — 64 million views
- Stranger Things season 5 — 56 million views
- Run Away — 50 million views
- Teach You a Lesson — 48 million views
- One Piece season 2 — 47 million views
- Man on Fire season 1 — 40 million views
- Ms. Rachel season 1 — 37 million views
- The Night Agent season 3 — 36 million views
Some might be surprised that Stranger Things season 5 doesn't have a higher number of views, but by the time 2026 began, most people had probably already watched the first two batches of the season by the time the series finale dropped on New Year's Eve. From January on, its 56 million views likely tracks those who didn't watch on Thanksgiving or Christmas or were rewatching after the finale.
Harlan Coben also has another show featured on the list, with Run Away resting two spots below I Will Find You. It's no wonder the streamer has plenty more shows in the works and coming down the pipeline next year. The rest of the series on the list are popular, but a lot of established Netflix shows have seen a marked decline in viewership with their most recent seasons.
Going into the second half of the year, it will be interesting to see whether these shows continue to grow, especially I Will Find You, and which other Netflix new releases could manage to squeeze their way to the 100 million mark. It's a daunting undertaking, but it's not impossible.
