If there's one generation-defining teen drama series that continues to define subsequent generations, it's definitely One Tree Hill. The 2000s classic from The WB and The CW left its mark on the small screen with nine truly jaw-dropping seasons, but the series defied the odds and remains one of the most beloved television dramas of the past 20 years.

Even with years removed from the show leaving the air, One Tree Hill continues to pull in new viewers thanks to its presence on streaming. And long-time fans keep rewatching each season over and over to relive every iconic moment. While the show isn't currently available to stream on Netflix in the United States, fans will be getting a different taste of its stars this spring.

Netflix adding Everyone Is Doing Great in May 2026

One Tree Hill stars James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti created, wrote, and starred in the comedy series Everyone Is Doing Great, which is coming to Netflix on Monday, May 11, 2026. The series leaned into the stars' past as heartthrobs on a teen series. Lafferty plays Jeremy Davis and Colletti plays Seth Stewart, the former stars of the pop culture phenomenon vampire series Eternal. Now in a new chapter of their careers, they hope to reclaim their popularity.

Everyone Is Doing Great obviously borrows from the stars' experiences without being directly autobiographical. But who has better insight on this subject matter than an actor who came of age on a teen drama series and another actor who began his career on an MTV reality series (Laguna Beach, of course) and later turned his unscripted stardom into actual acting?

In addition to Lafferty and Colletti, Everyone Is Doing Great also stars Alexandra Park (The Royals star and Lafferty's real-life wife), Cariba Heine, and Karissa Lee Staples. The One Tree Hill stars first conceived the series in 2017 and landed some crowdfunding that led to the first season's release on Hulu back in 2021. A second season was produced in 2023, but was ultimately never released.

While the first season ended up back on Roku and Tubi last year, the second season had remained unseen by fans for three years and counting. Leave it to Netflix to once again be the saving grace for a struggling show. Everyone Is Doing Great season 2, which contains eight episodes just like the first, will be released for the first time. Fans have been waiting for this moment!

Naturally, we will be hoping that Everyone Is Doing Great landing on Netflix in May 2026 leads to further success for the series and results in a potential third season. You can never say never, especially for an indie series that hasn't had a normal or traditional run at the very least — and that's saying something for the streaming era. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Make sure to set your reminders for the release of Everyone Is Doing Great on Netflix ahead of its drop on May 11, and check out the first season trailer in the video below!
