There's finally some great news to share with Nobody Wants This fans about season 3, and it's the update that everybody has been wanting and waiting for. A few months after the release of the latest season, the cast and crew have officially started work on the next season!
Netflix announced on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 that filming has officially gotten underway on Nobody Wants This season 3 in Los Angeles. According to the streamer's post on Instagram, which features a number of behind-the-scenes photos captured on a disposable camera by Kristen Bell, the cast and crew have already completed a week of production on season 3.
Nobody Wants This season 3 in production and confirmed for 2026 release
While the photos don't give anything away about what to expect from Nobody Wants This season 3, Bell has photographed, or had other people photograph, herself and her castmates on set. She and Adam Brody pose in their Joanne and Noah costumes on set, while others showcase fellow series regulars Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, and Jackie Tohn and more exclusive looks from the set.

In addition to announcing that the third season is already in production, Netflix also doubled down on their confirmation that Nobody Wants This season 3 will be released in 2026. The streamer has kept the promise of dropping new seasons of the Emmy Award-nominated romantic comedy series annually, and that tradition thankfully won't be broken this time around.
A previous report from January suggested that filming would take place between March and May 2026, and that suggestion appears to be coming true. The series doesn't taken long to shoot once in production, and a wrap in May will allow for post-production to commence thereafter and allow for a release sometime in fall 2026, maintaing the show's place as a fall fixture for Netflix.
We'll learn more concrete details about when Nobody Wants This season 3 release date will be, likely when filming wraps up. Last year, Netflix allowed the cast to reveal the season 2 release date in June ahead of its eventual drop in October. We could very well be looking at a repeat of that timeline, meaning we could know the season 3 release date before summer officially begins.
While it's exciting that filming is in progress and we can look forward to our next binge-watch before the year ends, there are still plenty more details to learn. Netflix hasn't announced any new or returning guest stars for season 3 just yet, only confirming that the five main cast members are back. We will have to keep waiting for the next round of updates to to roll in from the set!
