It’s the worst feeling ever when a movie you love on Netflix is about to be removed. You knew it was going to happen eventually due to streaming licenses and whatnot, but that doesn’t make it hurt any less. It's frustrating to know that you no longer will have the option to press play on a whim, revisit your favorite scenes, or share it with a friend for the hundredth time.
That sense of familiarity and comfort that came from simply knowing it was there, ready to watch whenever you wanted, is suddenly gone. Fans of Nicholas Galitzine know exactly what that feels like, as one of his best movies is about to take its leave from the platform. We'd even argue that it's his most underrated film.
Bottoms is set to leave Netflix in February 2026

We'd like to say we're joking around, but we're not. Unfortunately, Bottoms is really leaving Netflix next month. The streaming giant unveiled its February 2026 lineup of shows and movies coming and leaving its platform, and Bottoms is officially part of the section of titles set to be removed. So, when exactly will subscribers no longer be able to stream this movie on the platform?
Netflix has set Bottoms' departure date for Feb. 27, 2026. This means the last day to watch the film on the streaming platform is Thursday, Feb. 26. If you don't believe us, go ahead and check out the movie's title page on Netflix. The streaming giant posted a removal notice, giving fans a clear warning that time is running out. That said, if you’ve been putting off watching it, now is the time to finally hit play. Don’t wait until it’s too late!
Bottoms is a comedy film directed by Emma Seligman, with a script she co-penned with Rachel Sennott. Now, what’s the best way to describe Bottoms without giving too much away? Imagine two socially awkward high school seniors, PJ and Josie, who have a not-so-secret crush on the popular cheerleaders. Their brilliant (and completely ridiculous) plan? Start a girls-only self-defense club. Naturally, things don’t go as planned. Chaos, awkward encounters, and a few hilariously bad decisions ensue.
Add Galitzine into the mix as Jeff, the charming quarterback who complicates everything, and you’ve got a high-energy teen comedy that’s part absurd, part heartwarming, and all fun. Joining Galitzine in the cast as PJ and Josie are Sennott and Ayo Edebiri. The cast also includes Ruby Cruz, Havana Rose Liu, Kaia Gerber, Miles Fowler, Dagmara Domińczyk, and Marshawn Lynch.
For those who have watched Galitzine's other projects but have never seen Bottoms, you're going to be surprised at just how different he is here. In other movies, he's taken on much more serious roles, but in Bottoms, Galitzine shows off his comedic timing and playful side. In my own personal opinion, his performance in this movie made me want to see him take on more comedic roles in the future. Fingers crossed!
Bottoms will be removed from Netflix on Feb. 27. Don't forget to save this date!
