Are you ready for summer? Believe it or not, we're already almost halfway through 2026 and headed into the hottest months of the year. Historically, the summer season is when some of the most exciting new Netflix shows are released, and based on the titles coming throughout June 2026, we're in for another great start to the summer.
While June also boasts the new Netflix romantic comedy movies Office Romance, which stars Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein, and Voicemails for Isabelle, which stars Zoey Deutch and Nick Robinson, the streaming service brings back two beloved original series and debuts what could end up being one of the most popular limited series of the year.
In June 2026, we're heading back to Serenity, South Carolina with the Sweet Magnolias and delving into a new adventure with Avatar: The Last Airbender. But other Netflix shows are coming in June, and which ones are worth watching? We're sharing five new shows coming in June and recommending which ones are must-watches and which ones can be skipped.

Sweet Magnolias season 5
Watch! There's never a bad time for a bit of feel-good television, especially when it's care of Sweet Magnolias. The fan-favorite romantic drama series returns on June 11 for season 5, which has been a long time coming. It's been over a year since the fourth season dropped in February 2025, and fans have been antsy for the next chapter.
Last season, Maddie and Cal got married, and in season 5, she's heading off to New York City for a new job opportunity with her best friends in tow. Dana Sue and Helen also navigate challenges in their personal lives and careers, making for another can't-miss season. If you have been watching since the beginning, don't you dare skip Sweet Magnolias season 5!

America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders season 3
Skip! Each month, Netflix drops a handful of unscripted content alongside its scripted originals, but not everything should immediately have a place on your watch list. America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders season 3 premieres on June 16 and follows the squad throughout the 2025-2026 season. Those who have been obsessed with the reality show will be tuning in, but if this isn't your kind of binge-watch, don't feel as though you have to join the team.

Harlan Coben's I Will Find You
Watch! There are few things Netflix binge-watchers love more than a good, gripping mystery-thriller limited series. That's exactly what Harlan Coben and Netflix have been serving up annually, and Coben's second collaboration with the streamer is coming on June 18 in the form of the new series I Will Find You, based on his book of the same name.
The series centers on a man wrongfully convicted for the murder of his son as he continues to fight for his innocence and the possibility that his son could still be alive. I Will Find You stars Britt Lower, Sam Worthington, Milo Ventimiglia, and more familiar faces. Like all of Coben's popular Netflix shows, this will be the show everyone's talking about this summer

Outlast: The Jungle
Skip! Aside from dating reality competition series, survival competition series might be one of the second most popular subgenre of reality content. Survivor remains one of the biggest shows on television, and Netflix has its own take with Outlast. The first two seasons dropped in 2023 and 2024, but it's making a comeback on June 10 with Outlast: The Jungle.
The new season features 16 contestants landing in the Panamanian jungle and forced to live off the land and try to survive in teams. There will be alliances, backstabbing, and twists aplenty as the teams vie for the $1 million prize. Outlast: The Jungle will be released in two batches, but if it's not quite your kind of show, skip this series and watch something else.

Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2
Watch! Just when we thought we had put most of the long waits between seasons of Netflix shows behind us, we still have one more set to return after two years away. Avatar: The Last Airbender premiered on Netflix back in February 2024, but the second season will finally arrive after an excruciatingly long wait on June 25, 2026—over two years!
Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2 finds Avatar Aang, Katara, and Sokka back together and making it their mission to secure the Earth King's assistance in their fight against Fire Lord Ozai. The new season is expected to contain seven episodes, and while that's not a lot and the show isn't for everyone, it's the larger-than-life kind of summer blockbuster worth binge-watching.
