There haven't been that many great romantic dramas or rom-coms released on Netflix this year. I'm talking just about movies, not shows. Honestly, I can only really think of one and that was People We Meet on Vacation.
But fear not! The year is far from over, and Netflix is getting ready to release a bunch of romantic content in the coming months. In this article, we shared a good list of three new Netflix romance movies still set to be released in 2026.
Rather than sticking to one formula, each film on this list approaches love from a completely different angle. One is set in a corporate workplace where attraction to a co-worker can be quite tricky, another is built around voicemail messages that lead to an unexpected romantic connection, and the last brings closure to one of Netflix’s most beloved teen romances.

Office Romance
- Release date: June 5, 2026
- Directed by: Ol Parker
- Written by: Brett Goldstein and Joe Kelly
Jennifer Lopez might be this amazing Grammy-nominated singer, but people tend to forget that she's an amazingly talented actress as well. Remember, her romantic comedies like The Wedding Planner and Maid in Manhattan? Well, now Lopez is set to star in a new Netflix rom-com titled Office Romance. It's a movie that centers around the idea that falling for the wrong person could potentially cost everything.
The film follows Jackie Cruz (Lopez), an airline CEO who has built a successful career. Love isn't really on her radar until she meets Daniel Blanchflower (Brett Goldstein). Daniel joins the company as a corporate lawyer, and their relationship starts off purely professional. But their dynamic eventually turns into attraction over time. However, this isn't good for Jackie. She doesn't want to jeopardize her career and reputation, but can she really ignore her growing feelings?

Voicemails for Isabelle
- Release date: June 19, 2026
- Directed and written by: Leah McKendrick
Voicemails for Isabelle is a romantic drama centered around grief and an unexpected emotional connection formed through a phone number.
The movie follows Jill (Zoey Deutch), a young woman still dealing with the loss of her sister, Isabelle. To cope, she continues leaving voicemails on Isabelle’s old number. This is her way to stay connected and process her emotions. But everything changes when she learns that the number now belongs to Wes (Nick Robinson), a real estate agent in Austin, Texas.
Wes begins receiving Jill’s voicemails by accident. Typically, a person would delete them or do something of that sort. But not Wes. Instead, he listens and slowly becomes invested in her life. This eventually leads to a powerful emotional attachment that neither saw coming.

Heartstopper Forever
- Release date: July 17, 2026
- Directed by: Wash Westmoreland
- Written by: Alice Oseman
- Based on: Heartstopper volume 6 and Nick and Charlie by Oseman
Unlike the other two films on this list, Heartstopper Forever is not a standalone romance. It’s the final chapter of a love story that has continuously kept audiences' attention for years.
Serving as the conclusion to Netflix’s Heartstopper series, the film follows Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) and Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) as they step into new stages of their life that challenge everything they’ve built together.
Nick is preparing for university, which is pretty daunting in itself. Meanwhile, Charlie is still attending Truham Grammar School. For the first time, their lives begin to move at different speeds. But they're still trying to be the best partners to each other.
The film really asks a simple but painful question. What happens to a relationship when love is still strong, but life starts pulling two people in separate directions? Will Nick and Charlie's relationship survive the long distance? That's something fans will find out by watching Heartstopper Forever. Meanwhile, Nick and Charlie's friend group also begins to experience their own transitions into adulthood.
Here are four more notable mentions:
