Who doesn't want to watch now?

If you have not seen The Menu, it is basically horror for elitists. (If you know, you know). The movie is now streaming on Netflix. End of article.

Just joking, of course, You're stuck here for a few more minutes just as the guests on Julian Slowick's island. Well, not exactly like that. (If you know, you know.) And let's all be thankful for that.

Still, if you have not seen the 2022 film, the cast alone is likely to make you want to see it, even if you might not know exactly what you are getting yourself into. The feature stars Ralph Fiennes (perfectly cast as celebrity chef Slowick), Anya Taylor-Joy as Margot, and the always underrated Nicholas Hoult as Tyler Ledford.

The Menu is delicious and so is Netflix's social media post

People wanting to eat at Slowick's restaurant, Hawthorn, on the island, arrive by boat and are nearly immediately told by Slowick that they are all there because they robbed him of his love for cooking and that they are all going to die that night. In other words, this one is not for the kiddos.

Director Mark Mylod (he has done such things as Game of Thrones, so you kind of get the picture) does not hold back from making the film brutally fun to watch. We do not always know what is going to happen to the characters, and we almost do not root for them all. If their fate is in the hands of Slowick, so be it.

Only Taylor-Joy's Margot is there by accident. She has just come along for the ride and paid to be there. Her fate is not predetermined by Slowick, although the chef does explain to her that she will also need to die, but the question is whether she will do so with the staff or the guests. Again, this flick is not for the kiddos.

But if you did not know what the film was or are still on the fence about seeing it, Netflix has tweeted possibly their most tastily devious post ever. In the tweet, which you can see below, we simply see Margot eating a hamburger. This has importance in the film, sure, but something about watching Taylor-Joy eat something like that probably does make one want to find out more.

You should, by the way. The movie received fantastic reviews from critics and viewers. Just be prepared for the unpreparable.
