Even though we're never without more than a handful of new shows to binge-watch on Netflix and streaming services each month, it's never a bad thing to have as many options as possible. And if those options happen to include past favorites that are streamer hopping, finding a home for the first time, or aiming for a renaissance, who isn't always down for a rewatch?

You might be in the middle of a rewatch right now on Netflix, but save some room on your watch list for a critically acclaimed Prime Video series that's coming to Netflix for the first time. Dystopian drama series The Man in the High Castle will be added to Netflix in the United States and other worldwide territories (including the UK, Australia, Europe, and Latin America) on Wednesday, March 11.

Unlike other former streaming shows that have found new homes on Netflix after their runs have ended, The Man in the High Castle hasn't been removed from Prime Video. You can still watch all four seasons on its original platform. The same can't be said for the aforementioned Search Party, Minx, Love Life, and others that were left without a place to stream until landing on Netflix.

The Man in the High Castle begins streaming on Netflix in March 2026

For those who might have missed The Man in the High Castle the first time around, dystopian alternate history series based on the novel of the same name by Philip K. Dick first premiere on Prime Video back in January 2015. The series took place in a parallel universe that explored what would have happened if the Axis powers ruled the world after winning World War II.

The Man in the High Castle was created by Frank Spotnitz and boasted Ridley Scott as an executive producer. The series achieved critical acclaim and quickly became a fan-favorite, lasting for four seasons that each contained 10 episodes. After winning two Creative Arts Emmys, the show ended its run when the final season dropped in November 2019.

Coming to Netflix will give the show a second chance to be enjoyed, possibly by a whole new audience this time. The show's genre fits right in with the kind of content that tends to connect with audiences the most on Netflix, which helps to supplement Netflix's original output with enticing, binge-worthy shows and spread the wealth with the storied "Netflix bump."

It doesn't hurt that one of Netflix's currently most popular original series, the Emmy Award-nominated political thriller The Diplomat, shares a star in common with The Man in the High Castle. That would be Rufus Sewell, who stars in the Prime Video series as John Smith. If you're looking for something to watch while waiting for The Diplomat season 4, here you go!

The Man on the High Castle's arrival on Netflix comes on the heels of the streamer striking a licensing deal with Amazon MGM Studios to stream a number of its library titles like the James Bond franchise, Rocky, Legally Blonde, and Prime Video originals. We'll have to wait and see which other Prime Video shows could soon find their way onto our Netflix watch lists in the near future.

While Netflix has always had an enviable of acquired content to stream alongside its wide variety of original programming, the streaming service has made a larger effort to add a bigger collection of shows from past and present. Already in 2026, Netflix has added titles like What I Like About You, HBO Max's underrated and removed comedy Search Party, and Veronica Mars.
