An amazing and very eclectic range of content was on the lists of the top five most-viewed movies and shows on Netflix last week. There is certainly plenty of variety around and some new entries too, as TUDUM reveals the latest viewing figures. Stand by to find out what has been on lots of people's screens recently.

The movies has a top new action thriller bursting on the scene. Be warned, though, it’s bloody and violent. To balance that out on the list, there is a classic animated character movie, you’ll find it hard to resist laughing along too. Rom-coms are pulling in the numbers, too. No matter what the critics think, the genre is always popular with viewers.

On the most-viewed shows lists, they are all very familiar names: some old, some new, some returning for new seasons. There’s also the latest episode in a long-running live show making an appearance again. There’s something for everyone in the shows this week, for sure.

5 - Oklahoma City Bombing: American Terror

The documentary on the bombing of a federal office building in Oklahoma City in 1995 keeps the interest and its place here for another week. It delves into the story behind the truck bomb. The movie has interviews and reports from the investigators and also from bomber Thomas McVeigh while in prison.

Those are a bit hard to take when you know 168 people, including 19 children, were killed by the blast.

4 - Woody Woodpecker

The top five lists show what has been watched by the most viewers each week. Woody Woodpecker has knocked and entered as this 2017 live-action plus animation movie 2017 reappears. Fun knockabout comedy and that insane laugh make a good mixture for family viewing.

3 - The Life List

Helping to prove the value and popularity of rom-coms, this movie remains strongly in the top five. This is its fifth week on the list, although it has slipped from the top spot last week. Sofia Carson, Kyle Allen, and Connie Britton are the main stars in the cast.

2 - Life Or Something Like It

There were big question marks over this rom-com movie last week. You wouldn’t usually expect to see a movie with such poor ratings on release in 2002, making an appearance in the most viewed list. Angelina Jolie starred and picked up a Golden Raspberry for Worst Actress. But yet, here it is back for another week.

1 - Havoc

Havoc was only released on April 25 on Netflix and quickly stormed its way to the top spot with 29.8 million views. The action thriller cast is led by Tom Hardy, Jessie Mei Li, Justin Cornwell, Quelin Sepulveda, Luis Guzmán, Yeo Yann Yann, Timothy Olyphant, and Forest Whitaker.

The movie is mostly action, featuring extended shootouts, a lot of blood and violence, all set in a surreal, Gotham City-like setting.

5 - Raw: -2025 - April 21

Pehpas, somewhat oddly, WrestleMania 41 didn’t make it to the top five shows when screened. But this follow-up does hit the list, even though it was airing live against the NBA and NHL playoffs. That's mighty tough competition to fend off. The show had plenty of surprises and a shock result, but no spoilers here in case anyone hasn't caught up yet.

4 - Adolescence

Now in week seven on the top five list. It may be on its way out soon, but the Stephen Graham-led drama is still going strong. If you haven’t seen this and can take a tough watch, then what are you waiting for?

3 - Black Mirror: Season 7

Slipped back to number three is this seventh season of Black Mirror. The twists and turns, along with thoughtful Sci-Fi and technology-based dramas, will set you thinking. The quality of the show remains high and is well praised by fans.

2 - Ransom Canyon

Bucking the critics' views comes this Western-style saga of families. It’s not Yellowstone by any means, but while the critics slammed it, the test was whether it would drop quickly out of the top five.  It’s stayed in a strong position with 9.4 million views last week.

1 - You: Season 5

Another favorite show of many returns for a new season. It’s no surprise to see this popular series land straight in first place with 10.1 million views. This is the final ever series of You. It has Joe Goldberg, played by Penn Badgley, returning to New York. Be prepared for a tense watch as the psychological thriller plays out to an end.
