In case you did not know, though we are sure you did, Netflix produces a lot of fantastically entertaining original content. Sure, maybe not all of it is good. Still, even the shows that many people feel iffy about can get awards. You either loved or hated Baby Reindeer, for instance.
Some shows are popular, even though they would not seem meant to reach a massive audience. What does this say about the human race? That is likely for psychologists and archaeologists to figure out. Maybe we aren't that warped, but we also can be pretty fond of some brutal TV shows.
Case in point is one of the series that appears on Netflix's all-time top-10 most viewed. The list below is not just English language or non-English, but a combination of the two. The viewing numbers are provided by Netflix's Tudum. In other words, they are officially official.
What are Netflix's top 10 most-viewed series ever?
The series below that is not exactly family entertainment, but one must assume whole families are watching based on views, is DAHMER. The show follows the actions of mass murderer Jeffrey Dahmer. One might think not so many people would be interested in that subject. As it turns out, it is the fifth-most viewed series on Netflix ever.
Two different seasons of two of the shows are in the top 10, but one of the series is not among the top two viewed in one specific season. Those are Squid Game and Bridgerton. While both are popular, the Korean series is much more popular.
In fact, the first season of Squid Game currently has 83,000 more views than number three on the list. And number three is the second season of Squid Game. One can presume that once the third season of the series is released later in 2025, it will also end up somewhere on the top-10 most-viewed list.

The only show that comes close to the first season of Squid Game is Wednesday. So far, that series only has one season, but that is expected to change as Season 2 will come out at some point in 2025. Will the second season come close to matching either of the Squid Game seasons so far? One can hope because the first season was excellent.
We have also been promised that the second season of Wednesday is going to be much darker than the first. Too dark for some? Based on DAHMER getting so many views, that seems unlikely.
