Netflix has prepared a series of films, TV series, and documentaries from Brazil that will surely pique the interest of its viewers. Sintonia series, about three teens from São Paulo shanty town that ran for five seasons on Netflix, and is probably the biggest show on the streamer’s Brazilian service, will now get a movie spin-off that is supposed to continue the story where the series left off.

Two more Brazilian films for the service are in the works. The first, which has no title yet,  is a feature that will deal with a true crime story that was previously covered in 2021 by the docuseries Elize Matsunaga: Once Upon a Crime. The feature film will also deal with this gruesome case of a woman who killed and dismembered her husband.

Possibly no less gruesome will be a Brazilian horror movie titled Fazenda Colonial, which has a plot where a lot of bad things could happen to a group of friends who take a trip to an old farm. Last (but surely not least) is Emergência Radioativa, a fictional mini-series based on a true event - the 1987 Goiânia disaster.

Netflix viewers are in for a surprise with the greats from Brazil

There are two Brazilian sports series in the works. Fúria will follow a young fighter saved from certain death by a martial arts trainer. Through rigorous training and a mentor's help, the young fighter gets another chance to secure a place in the MMA and at the same time. Discover his true identity.

Of course, a Brazilian sports series that deals with soccer is a given, and the upcoming one bears the title Brazil 70. For those less familiar, the Brazilian soccer team that won the World Cup in 1970 is considered as possibly the best in soccer history.

With this series being a feature,  two soccer documentaries are also in the works, covering two more recent Brazilian soccer stars - Ronaldinho and Neymar. The latter focuses on his return to the Brazilian championship and his boyhood club, Santos.

There is a Brazilian wildlife documentary in the works, too. Marcha das Onças (March Of The Jaguars) will cover the actual journey of three jaguars in the Pantanal region, a natural region encompassing the world's largest tropical wetland area, and the world's largest flooded grasslands, a dangerous trip both for the jaguars and the filming crew.

This comprehensive program would not be complete without a reality show. This one might just pique the interest of reality show lovers all over. Titled Meu Namorado Coreano (My Korean Lover), it follows the love adventures of five Brazilian women nurturing long-term relationships on their trip to Seoul, South Korea.

Quite a few of the films (particularly the Sintonia spin-off and shows above promise to garner audiences throughout the Netflix system.
