The first season of Million Dollar Secret has wrapped and crowned its first millionaire. If you don't want spoilers, stop reading now.
We promise there will be below and the show is definitely worth watching and finding out for yourself.
If you don't want to wait to watch, though, here you go.
The final four of Million Dollar Secret
After a tense battle to the final four, the last players standing were Sydnee Falkner, who claimed to be a bottle girl but secretly a medical sales rep; Corey Niles, a builder; Sam Hubbard, a police officer pretending to be a stay-at-home mom; and Cara Kies, a fast food worker whose skills in the kitchen helped her secure the bag.
Cara received the million dollars and had to strategize on the fly, relying on her intuition to hang on to the grand prize. In addition to the money box, Sam's box held a clue to the millionaire's identity, which she chose to share with the group. You would think it would be an easy riddle to solve, as several players discussed their family before knowing the clue.
Some of them, however, lied, including Cara. Jaimi and Corey were the lead suspects, admitting to having two sisters, even though Corey explained his siblings were half sisters. Technicalities aside, Cara continued flying under the radar and wings of her allies. Officer Sam never suspected a thing.
The semifinals
The final four were paired off in a Mission: Impossible-style laser obstacle course, with one player blindfolded and another providing directions to the end of the maze. Sydnee and Cara were partnered, leaving Sam and Corey to pair up to try to win safety and the ultimate advantage—voting out one of the losing team members.
Despite having a pint-sized advantage over the other players, Cara threw the competition, banking on her allies Samantha and Corey to keep her safe and eliminate Sydnee, arguably the most dangerous player in the game.

Cara lost the battle, but like Lauren before her, revealing her strategy to Corey almost cost her the game. Admitting to him that she threw the game to keep his team safe, Corey questioned why...exactly?
Lucky for Cara, Corey was pretty convinced Sam held the million-dollar box. Sydnee was swiftly eliminated.
Low budget, high stakes final challenge
It seems as if bougie host Peter Serafinowicz blew most of the challenge budget on those helicopters, because the final challenge to earn one player an advantage was...threading needles. Seriously, guys? I get that there's a running theme here, keeping Peter in the finest luxury ice cubes, cocktails, and tailored suits, but surely there were a few extra dollars for something more exciting.
Cara started the competition with an advantage as the millionaire, which seems unfair, but I don't make the rules. She had one less needle to thread to tailor Peter's finale suit, presumably. She tried her best to slow down her progress to make it less obvious she was the one to watch, but still swept the competition.
Corey's man hands and Samantha's nerves cost them big time, clinching Cara the win. The final results allowed Cara and Corey to swap one million dollars each, while Sam...got to give a dramatic speech convincing the C squad to swap the million into her box.
Swip swap set up
The final twist of being able to swap the money secretly was questionable. Eliminating Sam from the challenge meant there weren't many options for how the money would change hands: two swaps, three boxes. I'll let you do the math, but it seemed almost guaranteed that Cara would end up with the money.
Her last-minute decision to convince Corey she was the millionaire so he would move the money to his own box so she could then move it to hers worked. No matter who Corey switched the money to, going first, it was almost impossible for him to win.
The money had to be moved, and being the first of the two players to move the money, Sam did not have any opportunity to shift the boxes around. How else could it have played out?
Maybe I'm missing something, but it seemed pretty obvious that Cara had the money and was going to be the one to keep it. It was an underwhelming ending to an overall great season. Congrats to Cara, Netflix's first secret millionaire.
