Madame Web is leaving Netflix very soon (and you don't have much time left)

There’s something inherently bittersweet about scrolling through Netflix’s vast library, adding a movie to your watchlist, only to discover that it’s leaving sooner than you expected. It’s a feeling every streaming fan knows all too well, and it's one that you hope not to experience that often.

The worst part? Netflix doesn't always give you enough time to mentally prepare. One day, your movie is there, basking in your watchlist. Then, the next day, a dreaded “leaving soon” banner appears, igniting a scramble to fit it into an already packed schedule. This November, Netflix will be removing a bunch of movies from its platform. Unfortunately, one of those films is Madame Web. The streaming giant has even posted an official removal notice on its title page. So, it's pretty set in stone.

Now, are you ready to learn the official departure date? If so, make sure to mark this date down. Madame Web is set to depart Netflix on Friday, Nov. 14, 2025. This means the last day to stream it on the platform is Nov. 13. This date is a few weeks away! There’s still a little time, but not much, to enjoy the film before Netflix removes it. So if you've been holding off from watching Madame Web, you might want to plan a movie night soon and finally watch it before it’s gone for good. It'll be mid-November before you know it!

We knew Madame Web would eventually leave Netflix since it's a licensed movie. Netflix doesn't own it and has instead been streaming it under a licensing agreement that is about to expire soon. The Sony movie was initially added to the platform on May 14, 2024. Since it's confirmed to be departing Netflix on Nov. 14, 2025, that means Madame Web will have been available on the platform for roughly 18 months before it’s removed.

Those who know about Netflix and Sony's deal wouldn't be surprised by this. The agreement allows Netflix to get exclusive streaming rights to Sony movies for an 18-month window after their theatrical release, which explains why Madame Web is leaving the platform now. Will the superhero movie still be available to stream somewhere after it leaves Netflix?

Yes! After it departs Netflix, it is expected to make its way to a Disney-owned streaming service such as Disney+ or Hulu. Your only other option for watching this film after it leaves Netflix is by renting or buying it on digital platforms. In fact, you can do that right now if you wanted to.

S. J. Clarkson directed Madame Web from a screenplay she co-wrote with Matt Sazama, Burk Sharpless, and Claire Parker. It's a Marvel movie with it being based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The story centers on Cassandra 'Cassie' Webb, a New York City paramedic who develops psychic powers following a near-fatal accident.

As she learns to harness her powers, she uncovers a complex web of destinies connecting three young women who are fated to become Spider-Women. Cassie must then protect them from the villain Ezekiel Sims while uncovering hidden truths about her past and the source of her abilities.

Dakota Johnson stars in the lead role as Cassie Webb. The three Spider-Women are played by Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced, and Celeste O'Connor. The cast also includes Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps, Emma Roberts, Adam Scott, and many others.
