These increases often make longtime subscribers stop and think, “Exactly how much am I paying now?” Understanding Netflix’s pricing structure has never been more important, especially for those trying to balance their entertainment budget with other streaming services. Netflix offers three main subscription plans in 2025

So, there are three subscription plans for those who want to subscribe to Netflix in 2025. They are Standard with ads, Standard (ad-free), and Premium. Each plan comes with different features, including the number of screens you can watch simultaneously, video quality, and whether or not ads are included. Depending on your budget and viewing preferences, you can choose the plan that best fits your needs.

The last time Netflix increased its subscription plan prices was earlier this year. This announcement was made in January 2025. Before the increase, the cost for each plan was slightly lower. The Standard with ads plan, for example, was initially $6.99/month. The Standard plan was $15.49/month before the increase, and last but not least, the Premium plan was $22.99/month. In other words, subscribers are now paying an extra $1, $2.50, and $2 per month for each plan, respectively.

Surprisingly, Netflix still hasn't introduced an annual subscription option, which could help subscribers save money over the long term. Instead, the service continues to focus on its monthly billing structure. Other streaming platforms, like Peacock and Paramount+, already offer annual plans that give subscribers a discount compared to paying month-to-month. But it's unknown if Netflix will ever follow suit.
