Heartland season 19 will be added to Netflix US much sooner than expected

If you're a Heartland fan, there's some news about the show and its availability on Netflix to get excited about this fall. While the streaming service hasn't been holding back on adding new seasons of fan-favorite series, including its own original series, it's been a minute since we have had new episodes of the Canadian family drama to enjoy. Thankfully, that's ending soon.

Earlier this year, Heartland season 18 made its way to Netflix in the United States, while the latest nineteenth season was added to the streamer in international territories. American fans who weren't able to watch the newest episodes on the small screen have had to remain patient for their chance to binge-watch season 19, and that's coming just around the corner.

Heartland season 19 coming to Netflix in September 2026

Mark your calendars! Heartland season 19 will be added to Netflix in the United States on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. Because of the show's licensing agreement with Netflix, seasons are about one year behind their televised run on UPtv. However, the Netflix streaming release date has been significantly moved up from the previously predicted bow in sometime in 2027.

Heartland season 19 premiered in October 2025 and ended its 10-episode run in December 2025, and while fans around the world have been able to binge-watch the season already, this will be the show's streaming debut in the US. This time around, we're lucky that the wait for the latest season to drop on Netflix US isn't nearly as long as it has been in the past.

Being so, those who haven't been able to check out what happened in season 19 will be able to do so long before Heartland season 20 makes its premiere. The series was renewed for its milestone season by CBC this spring and has nearly wrapped production. Filming began in May 2026 and will finish up by the end of August 2026 for a likely premiere before the end of the year.

In Heartland season 19, Bartlett-Fleming continued to face highs and lows as they sought to keep the legacy of their land safe from the threat of a dangerous wildfire and out of the hands of threatening enemies looking to take it for themselves. And that's on top of the various romances that have had fans swooning for seasons and the heartwarming family moments we simply adore.

The season finale ended with a jaw-dropping and heart-stopping cliffhanger as Jack presented Amy with a new plan for his, and possibly their, future. We don't receive an answer from Amy as to whether she will join Jack for this new chapter, but she smiles and leaves us breathless waiting for the answer season 20 will surely bring once it's finally back on our screens.
