If you thought Charlize Theron’s performance in Mad Max: Fury Road was a towering achievement in
portraying the vision of director George Miller’s Imperator Furiosa in the Mad Max Universe, then you are in for a treat.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is an epic origin story of the iconic character brought to life through the mix of amazing storytelling, gripping cinematography, and dynamic acting talent. The Happy Feet director who created the Mad Max Universe deserves all the credit for putting together a cast that worked perfectly to bring his vision to life.

Enter the post-apocalyptic lawless “Wasteland”, where morality diminishes and cutthroats grow bold.
Get introduced to Alyla Brown, The Secret Kingdom actress, as young Furiosa, 20-25 years prior to the events of Mad Max: Fury Road. In the movie, Anya Taylor-Joy takes over the role of Furiosa as she grows from a young girl into a capable warrior.

All the while, Chris Hemsworth delivers his most memorable performance yet as Dementus, the crazed, brutal yet charismatic leader of a biker gang. Their pivotal performances, together with that of the rest of the cast, make for over two hours of exhilarating fun.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is available for streaming now on Netflix

While Mad Max: Fury Road was one glorious car chase flick, the Furiosa story brings depth to the sequel and the world it is set in. As the film navigates from the past to the present, its narrative revolves around the backstory of Furiosa while also revisiting places like Gas Town and Bullet Farm which are mentioned in passing during the events of the Fury Road.

It also expands on the culture of the land and the leaders who rule upon it. Even though the story is riveting, it would not be as spectacular as it is without its stunning visual effects, daring stunt work, or intense action sequences.

All in all, with a cult following of the Mad Max universe, Furiosa could be its best story yet. For some, it might raise questions of what could be the depths to which man can fall, or it may just be another senseless movie to others. Either way, be prepared for the loudest, messiest, and craziest movie from George Miller, which will keep us guessing – what else can he conjure from the wasteland?
