Many films from the 1990s are often associated with well-loved stars such as Meg Ryan and Robin Williams, an obsession with science fiction at the turn of the century, and a pervading sense of hope and optimism. And, if you grew up watching many of these now-iconic movies, you likely also associate them with the simpler times of childhood.
Well, just because the '90s are now a terrifying 30 years in the past doesn't mean you have to leave those memories behind. Instead, you can still step back into the charming, hopeful, and clever films that had children, teens, and young adults glued to their screens by simply logging into your Netflix account. And don't forget to seal the vibe with a cabbage patch doll and a Kid Cuisine meal—if you can find one, that is.

Jumanji
Undeniably one of the seminal films from the '90s for kids, Jumaji was a classic that combined action, heart, and the endlessly captivating Robin Williams to great effect. Rewatching this delightful family-friendly adventure yourself is a great way to relive those long summer days laid out in front of the television, rooting for Alan Parrish (Robin Williams) and the Shepherd children while flipping through a magazine.
Alternatively, why not design the perfect family movie night by introducing your children, nieces, or nephews to the nostalgic magic of the original Jumanji adventure? You could always follow it up with the hit modern sequels or the 2005 film Zathura, which takes the board game theme into outer space.
Sleepless in Seattle
This film almost certainly produced a generation of hopeless romantics. Young adults watching the iconic duo of Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks dance around each other in the urban, gray-toned Seattle streets were no doubt captivated by the slow-burn romance between the two leads. Today, however, it is certainly worth a rewatch if only for the sake of stepping back into those classic fuzzy '90s interiors and an age when radio connected people like never before.
The charm of Sleepless in Seattle remains to this day, so you can rest assured that this sweet '90s classic will likely have you laughing, awwing, and weeping just like when it was first released back in 1993.

Stuart Little
Now, admittedly, the CGI used in Stuart Little can look a little funky if not even downright disturbing these days. However, if you were a kid who loved the antics of this little mouse, checking out the film well into adulthood is a great way to take yourself right back to 1999, in spite of the aged effects.
This movie also has an incredibly star-studded team of actors and creatives whom you may be able to appreciate more now than when you were a kid. Co-written by M. Night Shyamalan and starring Michael J. Fox, Hugh Laurie, Geena Davis, and Nathan Lane as the voice of Snowbell, you can amuse yourself with hunting for the stars while taking a trip down memory lane in the overly patterned settings of this family-friendly movie from the '90s.

Clueless
Did you fancy yourself a bit of a fashionista in the '90s, layering your tank tops over your plaid school skirts or pairing denim with even more denim for a red-carpet-inspired look? If so, then Clueless was likely one of your most rewatched films of the era. Watching this film today isn't only fun for spotting bygone fashion choices; it also enables you to watch hit actors such as Paul Rudd, Donald Faison, and Alicia Silverstone in one of their earliest credits.
If you do want to dive into the nostalgic school setting of Clueless, however, make sure to do it soon because this title is coming off Netflix US in the very near future!
Hopefully these charming '90s hits will be just what the doctor ordered the next time you're looking for some nostalgic binge-watches. And if not, you can always watch them to have a good laugh at the old fashions, interiors, and storylines that dominated a '90s existence.
