Everything coming to Netflix in October 2025

Netflix has so many new shows and movies to watch in October, including The Diplomat season 3, The Witcher season 4, and more.

We're just over a week into October, and we've already seen some great new Netflix shows and movie. That's the good news, but the even better news is that the real cream of the crop new Netflix releases are coming later this month.

We've already seen some great shows and movies hit Netflix so far in October, incluidng Monster: The Ed Gein Story, which will probably be the most popular show of the month, Love is Blind season 9, Halo, which was canceled on Paramount+ before moving to Netflix, and more.

Before we get into the full list of all the new Netflix shows and movies coming in October, we shared just a few of the big Netflix shows still to come in October.

The Woman in Cabin 10

  • Release date: Friday, Oct. 10
  • Directed by Simon Stone
  • Written by Joe Shrapnel, Anna Waterhouse, and Simon Stone
  • Cast: Keira Knightley, Hannah Waddingham, Guy Pearce, Art Malik, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, and more

One of my favorite Netflix stars Keira Knightley, who starred in the Netflix series Black Doves, is back for a new Netflix movie, The Woman in Cabin 10. The film is based on Ruth Ware's psychological thriller novel of the same name.

In the movie, Knightley stars as Lo, a journalist, who is covering a cruise for work. There, she thinks she sees someone who was thrown overboard, but the crew ensures her she didn't actually see that. Lo tries to get to the bottom of the mystery.

The Diplomat season 3

  • Release date: Oct. 16
  • Created by Debora Cahn
  • Cast: Keri Russell, Rufus Sewell, David Gyasi, Allison Janney, Ali Ahn, Rory Kinnear, Ato Essandoh, Bradley Whitford, and more

The Diplomat returns for season 3 on Thursday, Oct. 16, and we can't wait for fans to get to see the how that epic cliffhanger from the season 2 finale is resolved.

Keri Russell is back as Kate Wyler, the US Ambassador to the UK. After discovering what really happened during the terrorist attack at the beginning of the series, Kate and her husband, Hal (Rufus Sewell), must figure out what to do with that information as they maintain their standing on the world's biggest political stage.

The Diplomat is also already renewed for season 4 and is in the works right now.

The Witcher season 4

  • Release date: Oct. 30
  • Created by Lauren Hissrich
  • Cast: Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, Joey Batey, Liam Hemsworth, and more

Netflix is waiting until the penultimate day of October to drop what will be the most polarizing show of the month. The Witcher season 4 hits Netflix on Oct. 30, and there's a lot ot be excited about for Witcher fans. Liam Hemsworth is taking over for Henry Cavill in the lead role of Geralt of Rivia followng season 3, the best season of the show so far.

There's a lot of fans who watched this show because of Cavill, so it's going to be interesting to see the discourse when this show drops. Admittedly, it's not great right now, but if the story works, fans should be happy. We'll see how it goes.

Like The Diplomat, The Witcher is already renewed for another season, too. It will be the final season of the series.

What's new on Netflix in October?
