Is it hot here, or is it just Emily in Paris season 5? The new season of the Emmy Award-nominated Netflix original romantic comedy series has arrived and dropped fans back into the chaotic world of Emily Cooper. This season, she continues her new adventures in Rome with hunky Italian boyfriend Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini) and an uphill battle at work. But what else is new?
Well, there's a lot that's new in season 5, including a change of pace for the love triangle. Emily's forced to choose between two cities, but there might also be another hot love triangle heating up right under her nose. And that's no hyperbole! The temperature has really been turned up in Emily in Paris season 5. There's increased nudity and more steamy scenes than ever!
Below we're sharing a mostly spoiler-free explanation of the Emily in Paris season 5 age rating and the content fans can expect to see in the latest episodes!

Emily in Paris season 5 earns TV-MA rating with increased sexuality
As always, Emily in Paris season 5 has received a TV-MA age rating from Netflix for language, nudity, and smoking and has been designated for mature audiences. This probably isn't the show to watch with the whole family or have on when younger viewers or present. You never know when they might hear a bad word or see something they probably shouldn't be seeing!
Obviously, the characters use heightened language in the dialogue, whether it's in English, French, or Italian. Additionally, more than a few characters are seen either smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol in various episodes. But these parts of the TV-MA rating are nothing compared to the nudity and sexuality that's contained in season 5. Let's break down some of the instances.
Sex and nudity in Emily in Paris season 5
Season 5 particularly features an increased amount of male rear nudity. In one early scene, a man gets out of his female partner's bed naked and his backside is visible. He struts down the stairs and is seen naked by a friend. (We don't see this.) He returns upstairs and covers his genitals. In a later scene, the man gets out of bed wearing briefs and pulls them down to expose his butt.
Another instance of male rear nudity in an episode later on in the season comes the closest to showing full frontal nudity. A man's butt takes up most of the screen before he walks back into frame and rejoins his female partner in bed. Very little is left to the imagination when he spreads his legs, though much more nudity than his backside isn't completely visible.
For the most part, the sex scenes throughout the season are implied, either tapering off after the couples begin kissing or picking up after the characters have already slept together. Previous seasons have included female upper nudity, but there isn't any explicitly this season. However, there are many shirtless men featured across the season's 10 episodes.
