Dead to Me creator sets return to Netflix with another new dark comedy

If you have been feeling like there's something missing from your Netflix watch list lately in the form of a good dark comedy, it's probably because Liz Feldman's fan-favorite shows Dead to Me and No Good Deed have both ended. Thankfully, the master of the genre has charted to a return to the streaming service with a new series that's going to be all the rage.

In fact, that's exactly what the show is called. Liz Feldman and Kelly Hutchinson have created a new dark comedy series called All the Rage, which has officially been picked up by Netflix. The series once again teams Feldman with executive producers Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, and Christie Smith, who previously worked on both of the creator's hit Netflix series.

Dead to Me creator coming back to Netflix after No Good Deed cancellation

As the title All the Rage suggests, the dark comedy centers around the concept of rage as a pair of long-time friends team up to enact a very specific revenge mission. Just like with Dead to Me and No Good Deed, there's an undercurrent of darkness to the series that's not only a great hook for unorthodox humor but a bit of of mystery and lots of thrills.

Netflix shared the show's official synopsis in its press release: "A half-hour dark revenge comedy about Emma and Eli, old friends who reconnect after a long estrangement and find new purpose in taking down the man who tore them apart."

All the Rage marks Feldman's first new television series since No Good Deed premiered in December 2024 and was subsequently canceled in July 2025. The series starring Lisa Kudrow and Ray Romano was technically placed on an "indefinite hiatus," but the cast and crew have clearly moved on with new projects, and we're probably not returning to the dark real estate comedy anytime soon.

But we're likely to see more content from Feldman coming to Netflix as she has also extended her partnership with the streaming service with the pickup of All the Rage. Under the overall deal, Feldman continues to create original movies and shows for the streamer using her unique approach that truly can't be replicated. She has a specific and singular vision for each of her shows.

But it's clear to see, as the latest show has another three-word title, how Feldman's latest series will fit in right beside Dead to Me and No Good Deed. Even though there's not much known about All the Rage aside from its title and premise, it's easy for excitement to be very, very high. We don't know who will play Emma and Eli, but we certainly have some pitches based on Feldman's past work.

Recent first-time Emmy Award winner Linda Cardellini starred in both Dead to Me and No Good Deed, making her on obvious and almost necessary talent to join All the Rage, whether in one of the leading roles or a supporting role. Cardellini has kept busy in movies and shows, including DTF St. Louis and Crystal Lake, but there's no doubt she would jump at this chance. Let's manifest it!

Currently, it's not confirmed when production begins on All the Rage, but we will surely learn more about the timeline once casting announcements are made in the near future. More than likely, filming will begin very late this year or early next year for a release sometime before the end of 2027.
