As Bridgerton fans anxiously await the conclusion of Bendict and Sophie's story in Bridgerton season 4 part 2, you can't blame us if our attention has started to turn toward the future. Namely, which of the Bridgerton siblings will be the next star of the show with their love story.
Netflix has renewed Bridgerton for seasons 5 and 6, and showrunner Jess Brownell has sneakily revealed that Eloise (Claudia Jessie) and Francesca (Hannah Dodd) will be the leads of those seasons. The exact order of which one will be up to bat first in season 5 hasn't been confirmed just yet. However, fans believe they have tracked down a clue that spoils season 5's lead.
In a video posted on TikTok by Pop Market Collectibles on Sunday, Feb. 22, the store's official page promoted its collection of Bridgerton Funko Pops. The video begins with the first season's leads, Daphne and Simon, and follows the show's order of the leading characters. The final pairing shows Eloise's Funko Pop, which as already been released, with a mystery silhouette beside her.
The comments are flooded with excited fans suspecting that Eloise has been confirmed as the Bridgerton season 5 lead, and the video has already hopped social media platforms. A viral post on X (formerly Twitter) reacted to the Pop Market video by saying, "Not S5 leads being leaked from a Funko Pop," with a crying emoji to bring the point home. Let's burst the bubble here: Nothing is confirmed.

No, Funko Pops didn't spoil the Bridgerton season 5 lead reveal
For starters, it would be one thing if the official Funko Pop account had posted the video and was teasing the release of a new collectible figure of Eloise's love interest from the books, Sir Phillip Crane. But Pop Market's video doesn't have any connection to Funko Pop, meaning they wouldn't have any direction information from Netflix about which figures would be made ahead of season 5.
Also, and here's where the bubble really bursts, the silhouette used for the "mystery" figure next to Eloise isn't the teaser of a new Funko Pop coming soon. If you look closely, it's the exact silhouette of Colin's figurine that was released for season 3. They thought they could pull one over on us, but it's obvious that the outline of Colin's figurine was used to stoke some fan interest.
Not to mention, Francesca doesn't have an officially released Funko Pop, which means she couldn't have been used as a teaser in this video anyway. So, we still don't know whether Eloise or Francesca will be the real leading character of Bridgerton season 5 until season 4 concludes and Brownell confirms once and for all the future order of the next two seasons.
It's unfortunate that some fans believed this information to be real given the number of comments that allude to the fact that it was "obvious." While Eloise could still in fact be the season 5 lead, independently of this video, so could Francesca. We'll have to stay patient until the truth comes directly from the showrunner, cast, and Netflix themselves.
