If you’ve just finished watching Bridgerton season 4 part 1 and are still reeling from the romance, the drama, and the scandal that only the Bridgerton family can deliver, you’re not alone. There’s something intoxicating about the world Julia Quinn and Shondaland have built. Once you step into the world, leaving it behind feels nearly impossible, and the emptiness after the final scene can hit harder than you expect.
We're still several weeks away from the release of Bridgerton season 4 part 2 on the platform, where we'll finally get to see how Benedict and Sophie's love story wraps up. That said, there’s no need to suffer through the wait in silence. Netflix is overflowing with similar shows that'll hold you over until the second and final part arrives. In fact, we've put together a list of three binge-worthy Netflix series that are perfect for Bridgerton fans. All you need to do is add them to your watchlist!

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story
- Creator: Shonda Rhimes
- Cast: India Amarteifio, Arsema Thomas, Michelle Fairley, Ruth Gemmell, Corey Mylchreest, Golda Rosheuvel, Arsema Thomas
With Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, get ready to be completely swept off your feet! This prequel gives fans a front-row seat to the rise of one of the most iconic figures in the Bridgerton universe, Queen Charlotte herself. In Bridgerton, we’ve seen her as a commanding, influential queen.
But in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, we get to witness her earliest days as a young bride finding her way through the dazzling yet cutthroat world of 18th-century London society. Far from the confident queen we know, Charlotte must learn to balance the expectations of royalty, the pressures of court life, and her growing relationship with the unpredictable King George III.
With stunning period costumes, lavish settings, and a story full of emotional stakes and forbidden desires, this prequel is a perfect binge for Bridgerton fans eager to dive deeper into the drama, romance, and power struggles that defined Charlotte’s rise. Netflix hasn’t officially announced a second season of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, but Rhimes and the streaming giant have been in talks in the past about continuing the story.

The Empress
- Creator: Katharina Eyssen
- Cast: Devrim Lingnau, Philip Froissant, Melika Foroutan, Johannes Nussbaum, Elisa Schlott, Jördis Triebel
Let's say you finished all six episodes of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story and still aren't quite ready to leave the world of glittering gowns, scandalous secrets, and swoon-worthy romance behind. Don’t panic. There’s another binge-worthy Netflix show ready to fill that Bridgerton-shaped hole in your heart.
Here you have The Empress. So what’s it about? It's a period drama centered around the young Elisabeth “Sisi” of Bavaria, who is plucked from her quiet noble life and thrown headfirst into the opulent, cutthroat world of 19th-century European royalty. She’s suddenly married to Emperor Franz Joseph, and now she has to learn all the palace rules, the court gossip, and how to keep her head while everyone around her is scheming.
There are currently two seasons of The Empress available to watch on Netflix. A third and final season is confirmed and is set to be released on the platform at the end of 2026.

The Crown
- Creator: Peter Morgan
- Cast: Claire Foy, Matt Smith, Vanessa Kirby, Eileen Atkins, Jeremy Northam, Victoria Hamilton, Ben Miles, Greg Wise
If you thought Bridgerton had drama, just wait until you meet The Crown. This isn’t merely a story of a queen in elegant gowns. It’s a sweeping epic that spans decades of power, politics, and personal sacrifice, following Queen Elizabeth II from her early days as a young princess to her long and storied reign over the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.
Each season dives into a new decade of her life, bringing with it political upheavals, royal scandals, and deeply personal moments. The entire six-season series is streaming on Netflix, so you can start at the very beginning and binge your way through decades of royal drama in one sitting if you dare. However, we'd recommend saving The Crown for last since it's a lot to cover.
All three of these period dramas can be streamed on Netflix right now!
