If you like romantic comedies set around or during Christmas, Love Hard is absolutely the new Netflix movie for you.

Love Hard premiered on Netflix in November 2021, and it’s easily one of the best romantic movies released on Netflix in the last few years. Nina Dobrev is excellent as Natalie, a dating columnist, who begins dating Josh, played by Jimmy O. Yang, a man she met on an app who lives across the country. Natalie surprises him for Christmas and realizes she has been catfished. That’s when things really get interesting and Natalie decides to try to make it work over the holidays.

Love Hard is one of the best romantic comedies Netflix has made in a long time. There’s so much to love about this movie. It’s funny. It has so much heart. And, it features incredible performances from Dobrev, Yang, and Darren Barnet.

This is going to be a must-watch every holiday season on Netflix, for sure. (It’s pretty good outside of the holidays, too.)
