If you’re already leaning in that direction this Memorial Day Weekend, Netflix has a pretty solid lineup right now. Whether you want something light and messy, a twisty mystery, a dark crime story, or something a bit more mysterious and atmospheric, there’s a show here that fits the mood.

Below, we shared four of the best Netflix shows to watch over this long weekend!

Perfect Match (2023-)

If you're not watching Perfect Match, what are you doing? The show brings together familiar faces from across major reality series like Love is Blind, Too Hot to Handle, Love Island, etc., and drops them into one luxury villa. It's all about finding love and becoming the strongest couple. But there’s a catch!

Couples compete in challenges, and winning gives them power over the game. That power lets them break up other couples, send people on dates with new arrivals, and completely shift the dynamics of the house whenever they want. So even if two people feel like they’ve found something real, it doesn’t mean it will last.

Perfect Match is a really addictive show, and part of what makes it so gripping is how quickly things change. In one episode, you'll see contestants hanging out and having a good time, and the next can turn the entire villa upside down. A Good Girl's Guide to Murder (2024-)

If you want something a bit more gripping, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is an easy pick.

The British mystery thriller series follows Pip Fitz-Amobi, a high school student who decides to investigate a murder case from five years earlier as part of a school project. Initially, the case seems closed.

A teen girl named Andie Bell was murdered, and her boyfriend, Sal Singh, was blamed before his own death. However, Pip isn’t convinced the story is that simple. As she starts her investigation, she begins to notice how certain things don't quite line up and how more cracks start to appear in the official version of events.

Now, here's what's great about A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. Look, it's not the type of show that rushes answers or overloads you with twists every five minutes. Instead, the teen series slowly builds tension and lets you piece things together alongside Pip. Every episode changes your understanding just enough to keep you second-guessing everything you thought you knew.

There's only one season of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder so far, with the highly anticipated second season set to land on Netflix on May 27.

Nemesis (2026-)

If you’re in the mood for something darker and more intense, Nemesis is worth a spot on your watchlist.

The series centers on LAPD detective Isaiah Stiles, who becomes convinced that Coltrane Wilder, a wealthy businessman, is secretly behind a bunch of serious crimes. Coltrane might appear completely legitimate, but Isaiah believes there’s something far more dangerous underneath his polished image. As he digs deeper, the case becomes an obsession.

What makes Nemesis so gripping is that it isn’t just about catching a criminal. It’s about two men who slowly become locked in a personal war. Isaiah pushes harder and harder for proof, while Coltrane always seems to anticipate his next move. Both characters start making choices that blur the line between justice and revenge, and it becomes harder to tell who is really in control of the situation.

If you want something intense enough to keep you locked in all weekend, this is it. Nemesis is one of Netflix's newest shows, so there's only one season so far.

The Boroughs (2026-)

The Boroughs brings a very different energy to the lineup. It's all set in a quiet retirement community in the New Mexico desert. As the sci-fi series unfolds, the people living in the community discover that something possibly otherworldly is hiding beneath their seemingly safe environment. This then sets them off on an investigation.

What makes The Boroughs interesting is its perspective. Instead of focusing on younger characters, it follows retirees who suddenly find themselves at the center of something they never asked for and don’t fully understand. And instead of stepping aside, they step up to figure out what it's all about. Like Nemesis, The Boroughs is a new Netflix series. That said, there's only one season so far.
