Practical Magic is based on Alice Hoffman’s book also called Practical Magic, which was released in the mid-90s.

In the film, two sisters who also happen to be witches try to break a family curse that causes all of the men they fall in love with to tragically die. Other supernatural powers threaten to destroy the sisters and their powers.

Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are great in the movie. If you would like a break from spooky Halloween movies and would rather watch a romantic comedy, this is the movie to watch on Halloween!
