While You Were Sleeping is easily one of the best romantic Christmas movies on Netflix!

In the movie, Lucy (Sandra Bullock), a young, single woman working as transit fare collector in Chicago, falls in love with Peter (Peter Gallagher), a daily traveler, from afar. On Christmas, Peter is robbed and shoved on the tracks. Lucy saves him from a train, but Peter remains in a coma. After a huge misunderstanding at the hospital, Lucy pretends to be Peter’s fiancee.

While the premise is a bit dark for a Christmas movie, While You Were Sleeping is a great love story, if you’re into romantic comedies. It’s definitely worth a watch or two this holiday season.

For her performance in the film, Sandra Bullock was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical.
