Although Jaws is more than 40 years old now, Jaws is still one of the best summer movies of all time and the best shark movie, which has since become its own mini-genre, ever made.

Jaws was nominated for several Oscars at the 1976 Academy Awards and won three Oscars in technical categories. The film was also nominated for Best Picture.
