There’s nothing quite like the excitement of hearing that Netflix has acquired the streaming rights to a show you love. It’s like your favorite series just got a new home where you can watch it anytime, binge as much as you want, and finally show it to friends who haven’t seen it yet.

On Dec. 10, the streaming giant released its full list of new shows and movies coming to its platform in January 2026, and you won't believe what made the cut. Remember that TNT show about the tough, street-smart detective and her brilliant and stylish medical examiner partner who tackled Boston’s most shocking crimes? Yeah, Rizzoli & Isles is finally headed to Netflix!

All seven seasons of Rizzoli & Isles will be making their way to Netflix on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026. That's a total of 105 binge-worthy episodes to watch and enjoy. For Netflix subscribers, they’ve been waiting for this moment since the show ended its run on TNT back in 2016. But unfortunately, the crime drama has been available to stream elsewhere.

It was previously available on HBO Max before being removed, and it’s currently streaming on Peacock. However, it’s unclear if it will remain there once it officially lands on Netflix. What we do know is that this will mark the very first time Rizzoli & Isles will be available on the streaming platform.

That said, you definitely don’t want to wait until the last minute to start watching it on Netflix. Since it's not a show that the streaming giant owns, it will eventually be removed. So, we recommend starting as soon as it drops on Jan. 20, and binging as many episodes as you can while it’s available.

Janet Tamaro created Rizzoli & Isles, bringing to life the thrilling world of Tess Gerritsen’s bestselling novels. The series follows Boston detective Jane Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles as they team up to solve complex and often shocking murder cases throughout Boston, Massachusetts.

Angie Harmon took on the role of the fearless, tough-as-nails Detective Jane Rizzoli, while Sasha Alexander portrayed the sophisticated and witty Dr. Maura Isles. Also in the cast were Jordan Bridges, Bruce McGill, Lorraine Bracco, Brian Goodman, Idara Victor, Adam Sinclair, and the late Lee Thompson Young.

Honestly, there’s so much to love about Rizzoli & Isles. The cases are clever, the twists are shocking, and every episode keeps you guessing, but what really makes it special is Jane and Maura. Jane’s strong, daring, and completely unapologetic, while Maura is sharp, elegant, and quietly hilarious. Watching them work together, banter, and have each other’s backs is endlessly satisfying, and it’s what turns a great procedural into a show you actually care about.

If you haven't seen this crime drama before, you're in for a real treat. Don't forget to add it to your watchlist!
